Fantasy reigns at Magic Kingdom Park, especially as we get ready for Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary in October and “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” Case in point, we recently announced the park will soon be your ghost host for “Disney After Hours Boo Bash” on 23 select nights later this year, starting Aug. 10 and continuing through Oct. 31 from 9 p.m. to midnight.* We are thrilled to share some more frightfully fun details on what you will experience during this limited-capacity separately ticketed event:

  • Special cavalcades will pop up throughout the night including “Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade,” with Mickey Mouse and friends dressed up for the occasion. In the “Disney Villains Halloween Cavalcade,” villains will take to the street and celebrate their favorite time of the year. “Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade” will feature Jack Skellington, Sally and Oogie Boogie riding down the parade path to “This is Halloween,” and last, but definitely not least (we would never say that about her!), Maleficent will also make an appearance in the form of a fire-breathing dragon.
  • Some of your favorite friends will be lurking about – from the lovely Miss Carlotta at the Haunted Mansion to Goofy and Chip ‘n’ Dale in their Halloween best, with other surprise characters popping up across the park, too. You can even stop and listen to the Cadaver Dans during their special comeback (from the dead) performance.
  • Select complimentary snacks like ice cream novelties and popcorn, along with select beverages, are included in the cost of the event.
  • After the park closes to day guests, enjoy less time waiting in line for more than 20 attractions including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Haunted Mansion attraction, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, Space Mountain and more.
  • A variety of specialty food and drinks will be available for purchase including an Apple Ginger Dale frozen drink (frozen apple cider mixed with ginger ale and topped with whipped cream) and a Foolish Mortal Funnel Cake.)**
  • Disney PhotoPass will also be available to take your magical and spooky shots throughout the night.
  • “Disney After Hours Boo Bash” tickets will grant admission to Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7 p.m., giving you time to enjoy even more of your favorite Magic Kingdom Park haunts before the event begins. These dated event tickets do not require an additional day theme park ticket or Disney Park Pass theme park reservation.
Foolish Mortal Funnel Cake

As we shared previously, all foolish mortals can dress in costume for the event and you can get your fill of Halloween candy while trick-or-treating around the park. Costume masks are not permitted for adults; they can only be worn by children under 14. Before you arrive for the “Disney After Hours Boo Bash” event, please check our Know Before You Go page and Costume Policy for the most up-to-date information. Please note that health and safety measures, policies and operational guidelines are subject to change.

Tickets for this hauntingly fun-filled three-hour event will go on sale June 15 and can be purchased online or by calling 407-939-4240. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can book their tickets as early as June 8. Tickets start at $129 – $139, plus tax for August/September nights and $159 – $169, plus tax for October nights, and $199, plus tax for Halloween. Walt Disney Imagineering, in partnership with the Walt Disney World Resort Holiday Services team, will blend a fall look with the enchanting story of Cinderella by creating special pumpkin coach decorations that will add to the park’s sparkling EARidescence during this magical time.

Comments

  • Why is it not possible for the people located in the UK to buy Boo Bash tickets? I was informed this morning that we now have to wait and buy them (if they’re still available) when we arrive at Disney World.

  • Will Disneyland in California have a Boo Bash this year?

  • Will Disneyland have Mickey’s Halloween party this year?

  • Do Guest Of Walt Disney’s Disneyland and Walt Disney World Still Have To Stand 6 Feet Away?

  • Can you tell us which select guests get first opportunity to buy tickets on the 8th?

It would be nice to either have fireworks and/or a show included in the price.

  • Too sad that in order to stay late at the Magic Kingdom you have today an additional $179. We so loved staying late until midnight, and sometimes 1 or 2 am. Soon we will be paying for every extra hour, every special day, every bit of the magic over and above the thousands we pay for our family vacation.

  • For those asking about knowing if you are eligible to buy tickets on the 8th, you should be notified by email as we were. Thanks!

  • Are there any plans at Disneyland this year?

  • Will Disneyland have an after hours Halloween event this year?

  • Wow, kind of expensive. We only paid $89 for tickets in 2019 for October. Way to jack up prices by $70-80 more per ticket Disney. Are you trying to recoup Covid-19 losses? Guess we won’t be attending boo bash even though we will be staying at Ft Wilderness.

  • Will there be fireworks? Fireworks are very important! This is Disney after all.

  • I’m glad they’re able to bring some Halloween fun back to the park, but August and Sep?!?!? Way too early

  • Not a Party…it’s a themed “After Hours” event.

  • To answer some of the questions:

There will be trick or treat candy *and* ice cream “for free.”

The MK will be decorated for Halloween.

No events the last week of Sept and the first week of Oct because of 50th Anniversary celebrations.

  • How will I know if the resort I’m staying at is one of the ‘select’ resorts that can book on the 8th?

  • How will you know what Disney Resorts qualify to book effective the 8th?

  • Will you still have candy stops like you have had in years previous?

  • Why no events the last week of September?

  • When will Disney be decorated for Halloween this year?

  • Is Disneyland Resort planning on having an after hours Halloween event this year?
