I love Halloween so much … it’s scary. Since we are #HalfwaytoHalloween, I’m spookily excited to announce a new Halloween-themed Disney After Hours event coming this fall to Magic Kingdom Park!

Disney After Hours Boo Bash” will take place on select nights, Aug. 10 – Oct. 31, from 9 p.m. to midnight*. Spooky festivities will include Halloween-themed cavalcades, character sightings throughout the park, special performances by the Cadaver Dans, décor, lighting, music, treat stops with plenty of candy and so much more!

“Disney After Hours Boo Bash” tickets will grant admission to Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7 p.m. without the need for a day park ticket or Disney Park Pass theme park reservation, giving you time to enjoy even more of your favorites.

Guests young, old and immortal can dress in costume for the occasion and get their fill of Halloween candy. As an important reminder, costume masks are not permitted for adults; they can only be worn by children younger than 14. In addition, all guests are required to wear approved face coverings during the event. Before you arrive, check our Know Before You Go page and Costume Guidelines.

In case you aren’t familiar with Disney After Hours, it’s a special event that’s open to a limited number of guests, after normal park operating hours. The experience offers low wait times at more than 20 attractions from classics like the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, to newer favorites like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It’s a ghostly good time for all!

Tickets will go on sale next month, with an early purchase window available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Click here for more information and stay tuned for more details to come. We’ll share additional information about “Disney After Hours Boo Bash” as it becomes available, so keep checking Disney Parks Blog for more tricks and treats.

*Some event nights in August and September will be from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Comments

  • Does anyone which resorts are offering the early ticket sales?

  • If you already have a park reservation for the day of the event do you still need to purchase the boo bash tickets separately from that?

  • Rochelle, usually Shades of Green sells them ( even to non resort guests )or you can also try Guest services, which also sells the discounted Military memory makers.

  • I see that the after hours party will take place on select nights Aug. 10th – Oct. 31st is there a full lit of party dates?

  • We let our passes exp last year, but this Sounds great, we have loved all of the times we have went to the Disney after hours events.

  • Some may complain about the hours, but for those of us traveling from other time zones and with kids who naturally stay up later, this is fantastic!! We would never be able to make rope drop or magic hour in the morning, my kids would just be so grumpy, so this gives us an opportunity to enjoy the less crowded park, we are very grateful!

  • Excited! Wife and I are looking forward to Boo Bash on October 1st!

  • 😢😢😢. We have little kids.

  • 😢😢 Too late for little ones! Mickey not So Scary Halloween Party was our favorite thing. 😞😞 LH

  • We should have visited last year bringing the grandchildren for their first time, at least we are getting something this year, fingers crossed we can come from the UK don’t think we can wait another year to visit, I am sure what ever Disney put on it will be brilliant 🤩 a little different to the normal I know but will still be spectacular, let’s hope too Bibbodi Bobbiti too will be open my granddaughter is desperate to be a princess for a day

  • Pleaee keep in mind, we would much rather have the full Halloween Parties and Very Merry Parties. Hopefully this is only for this year, because these offerings are not Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (and, because most likely this format will also replace them this year, the Very Merry Christmas parties).
I am sure many who, like my family, have been to those for many years will agree, we sincerely hope these events will not be considered for their permanent replacement.

  • This is really inconvenient and stinks for parents like us who have a 2/3 year old who is asleep by 9pm latest on even the worst of days. She couldn’t even enjoy this… I think this is something you should reconsider. Maybe make a few nights begin at 7 like it used to?

  • So is this instead of Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party that used to let you in the park at 4pm for a 7pm party ticket?

  • So this doesn’t apply to Disneyland?

This is meant for guests “young and old” but doesn’t start sometimes till 9:30pm? 😞

  • I really hope this is a temporary celebration and Mickey’s not So Scary can return next year.

  • Hi! Will annual pass holders have early access to purchasing a ticket? Or receive a discount?

  • Will there be a Military Salute ticket and where would it be purchased?
