Grant Writing for Beginners!

Are you in need of grant money for a project or program but don’t know where to start? Have you been spinning your wheels trying to figure out what funders are really asking of you?

If so, this practical, hands-on workshop is for you! We’ll walk you through the process from beginning to end—from finding funding and cultivating funders, to the nuts and bolts of writing a winning proposal. You'll leave feeling more confident in your ability to sustain your program through the various grants available in North Carolina.

GOALS

At the conclusion of this workshop participants should be able to:

  • Identify where to look for funding and how their project relates to funder priorities.

  • Know the basics of funder cultivation.

  • Create a basic project budget.

  • Understand fundamentals of program evaluation.
