What is Anytime Anywhere?

Counseling and Psychological Services is partnering with Telus Health to expand services to students. Through the Anytime Anywhere program, students now have access to free and confidential mental health and wellness counseling at any time of day, from anywhere in the world, 365 days a year.

Students can connect with counselors in real time by calling or using the chat function. Help is available 24/7 in five languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish and French. Additional language support is available by request. The app is ADA compliant and TTY accessible.

Students can request a counselor that matches their same identity by sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, language, and more. These requests are best handled through short-term scheduled appointments rather than in real time. Students can use scheduled short-term therapy for individual or relationship counseling, which are available in 160 languages. The app also includes mental wellness articles, assessments, podcasts, and videos! This service is free to all students taking classes on the Corvallis and Cascades campuses, as well as through Ecampus.

If you don't have a private space where you can meet with a Telus Health counselor, CAPS can help! Call us at 541-737-2131 or email caps@oregonstate.edu, and we will be happy to reserve time for you in the teletherapy room at the Valley Library.

Cascades Campus students with questions may contact student.wellness@osucascades.edu.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Anytime Anywhere complements existing CAPS services, while expanding access to counseling 24/7/365. It is:

  • Immediate: If you’re a student with an immediate need, you will be assigned to the first available counselor who speaks your native language.
  • Ongoing: Anytime Anywhere provides ongoing support with no limit on the number of student counselor interactions, as deemed appropriate. If you need ongoing support, you will be assigned to a counselor; continuity of support will continue with an Oregon licensed professional.
  • Multilingual: Help is available 24/7 in five languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish and French. Additional language support is available by request.
  • Confidential: Anytime Anywhere is confidential within the limits of the law. No one (including family, friends, or OSU faculty or staff beyond CAPS) will know you have reached out unless you choose to share.
  • No additional cost: Anytime Anywhere is covered by your student fees.

Yes. Like other services at CAPS, Anytime Anywhere is confidential within the limits of the law. Unless there is a concern about your immediate safety, permission from you would be required before it would be possible to share anything that you say — or even that you have used our services — beyond CAPS.

No. In fact, if you are in crisis — an acute situation such as experiencing suicidal feelings — it is best to call 911 or 541-737-2131 for immediate local help.

Anytime Anywhere is designed with ease and speed of access in mind to help address everyday concerns such as:

  • Balancing academic and personal responsibilities
  • Relationships with friends and family
  • Managing stress, worry, and uncertainty
  • Adapting to a new culture
  • Effective ways to cope with feelings of loneliness or isolation
  • Establishing healthy habits
  • And much more!

Whenever you decide it may be helpful, we are here.

Creating a profile helps you in two main ways:

  • You can access services via the app much quicker once a confidential file has been created for you.
  • The clinician you connect with will know how to get back in touch with you if your call or chat accidentally disconnects.
