Donate & Build Convoy District!

Help build the future for the Convoy District.

What was once a handful of small mom-and-pop stores in the 1980’s and 90’s has now grown into a thriving neighborhood led by multi-generational entrepreneurs that have opened hundreds of businesses over the years. Today, the Convoy District is home to a diverse collection of supermarkets, restaurants, entertainment venues, medical/legal offices, and professional services as well as several dozen cultural institutions such as churches, ethnic media outlets, and non-profit community organizations.

Background

Founded in 2014, the Convoy District Partnership (CDP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that oversees the transformation of the greater Convoy area into a vibrant cultural center, dining destination, and innovative economic hub. We work to shape the Convoy District into San Diego’s next great neighborhood.

In 2020, the Convoy District Partnership, a non-profit organization representing business owners, tenants and shoppers in San Diego’s Convoy District area, worked with San Diego City Councilmember Chris Cate and then-Assemblymember Todd Gloria to officially recognize Convoy as the “Convoy Pan Asian Cultural and Business Innovation District.” This official designation from the City of San Diego allowed the Partnership to work with the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) to install “Convoy Asian Cultural District” freeway signs that direct drivers and visitors to the Convoy area.

The Convoy District also proudly stands among the largest Pan-Asian business districts in the United States.
