UPCOMING EVENT

FCMaP 2023 Mid-Year Forum

Virtual Meeting

September 14, 2023

The FCMaP Science & Technical Advisory Council invites you to our mid-year forum, which will include a discussion of the deep water prioritization effort.

Please save the date and share with all interested colleagues and stakeholders.

OPPORTUNITIES

Florida Deep Water Mapping Prioritization

FCMaP is launching an initiative this summer to prioritize stakeholder interests in mapping Florida waters between 20-200 m depth.

  • The goal is to provide information to begin implementation of systematic mapping of deeper waters around Florida.
  • Participants will be given access to an online tool to provide input on where, when, and why seafloor data are needed.
  • The prioritization will be discussed at the mid-year forum and a final product available to the public on the FCMaP Hub.

Prioritization Organizational Point of Contact (POC)

FCMaP needs to create accounts for stakeholders to access the online platform to provide feedback. We aim to have 1 representative from an agency, lab, group etc. to participate on behalf of their organization. The POC will receive additional information in the coming weeks about the account and prioritization process but the POC needs to fill out the form below. Please pass this along to the designated POC for your organization to be included in this process. If you have any questions, please reach out to: klerickson@usf.edu.
