CASA of Lexington’s Impact in 2023
681 Children Served
In 2023, CASA of Lexington helped 681 abused or neglected children in the family court systems of Bourbon, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Lincoln, Scott and Woodford counties. That’s 681 children who would otherwise not have had someone visiting them monthly and advocating for their best interests in court. You can read about some of our CASA children’s success stories.
297 CASA Volunteers
297 people volunteered with us in 2023. They contributed nearly 18,000 hours to improve the lives of the children we serve. 59 of those volunteers earned the prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award. Take a moment to meet some of the different people who serve as CASA volunteers.
688 Households Donating
People living in 688 households supported CASA of Lexington financially in 2023, making it possible for the volunteers to do their life-changing work. It costs around $1,000 a year to provide a child with a CASA volunteer — less than half of what it costs the state to provide foster care for one month. You can make a donation of any amount right now, or learn about all the different ways you can support the the CASA mission.
