On Tuesday, August 15, a letter led by Representatives Eshoo (D-CA-16) and Burgess (R-TX-26) was sent to Administrator Brooks-LaSure of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services expressing concern regarding a March 2023 Medicare billing change which restricted access to non-invasive post-transplant testing for some organ recipients.

In addition to Representatives Eshoo and Burgess, the following lawmakers signed on to the letter: Representatives Van Drew (R-NJ-2), Mace (R-SC-1), Bucshon (R-IN-8), Davis (D-NC-1), and Salazar (R-FL-27), Sewell (D-AL-7), Porter (D-CA-47), Crow (D-CO-6), Norton (D-DC-AL), Bacon (R-NE-2), Nadler (D-NY-12), Lynch (D-MA-8)

The Honor the Gift coalition applauds these congressional leaders for taking action on behalf of the transplant community!
