The Lives We Touch: Scott’s Story

In May of 2020, Scott Overby was ready for what was next! Scott had been homeless and living in a van after a drunk driver ran into him and changed his life forever.

“When I was living in my van it seemed like I was in a hole so deep man, I couldn’t even see  the sky from the bottom of the hole.”

Through Guild services, and with his best 4-legged friend, “Romeo,” Scott came to bridging last spring as we were well-into the pandemic. He experienced one our first virtual appointments ever.

Today, Scott says he’s getting more comfortable asking for help, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

“You will find that… all the donations you give to Bridging will give people hope who like me, not that long ago thought that I was in a hole so deep that  i couldn’t see this literally couldn’t see the sky.”

“There’s plenty of people probably in the same boat that I am that maybe… and know that your donations certainly will [others like me] hope and the peace and the serenity that they could use in their life as well.”
