I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, an area that even the cops avoided.
The only light in my dark, was the boy next door. He was my hero.
And I was his Sunshine, at least that is what he called me.

Liam Kane wasn't just my neighbor, he was my first and only crush.
He looked after me when I couldn't look after myself.
When he disappeared my life returned to an endless grey.

Now after all these years we're face to face.
But we're standing on opposite sides of the law.
He's a part of the Heretics MC and I'm a deputy.

I’m all grown up and more than capable of handling myself.
But I dream about Liam’s capable hands.
Everything has changed... except my feelings for him.

Before becoming a romance writer, Danielle was a body double for Heidi Klum and a backup singer for Adele. Now, she spends her days trying to play keep away from Theo James who won’t stop calling her or asking her out.
And all of this happens before she wakes up and faces reality where in fact she is a 50 something mom with grown kids, she's been married longer than Theo’s been alive, and now get her kicks riding a Harley.
As far as her body, she can thank, Ben & Jerry’s for that as well as gravity and vodka. But she says that she could never be Adele’s backup since she never stops saying the F-word long enough to actually sing.
Danielle writes about kickass women with even better shoes and the men that try to tame them (silly silly men).

Note: An ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

So let’s start.

Writing - It had me all in. I was completely engrossed in this story and couldn’t seem to stop, even close to pulling an all out-nighter for this.

Cover -Swooning hard, literally in love.

Romance -Scorching and so sweet at times. Literally my heart melted in a puddle during their romantic declarations.

Personalities of characters -Liam’s personality was done well, with him having an explanation for every action he took and for what he felt, making him an admirable and relatable character to relate to.

Piper’s personality sucked. Literally sucked. She was shown as a strong, able to handle emotions and was fierce and loyal and smart. But later on, she’s portrayed more as a dumb blonde and not knowing when to be smart with her situation around Liam. That was a massive reason why I was compelled to drop this book, to DNF it. I really can’t help but get irritated when authors make their characters look like they’re bipolar, are suffering from a personality disorder...sigh. Really a massive disappointment to all my hours wasted on this novel.

The summary was okay but still not enough to give it another star. As for the characters overcoming their problems, clearly they both need development emotionally and personality wise.

Overall it’s not a recommend.

Until the next page,

Danielle brings us another witty, sexy story that empowers females and their careers. If you are unfamiliar with Danielle’s writing, she loves to write about strong females and the women in their corner.

Book’em Piper is the third installment in the Iron Badges series. He book shows us Piper and Liam’s story. Once upon a time, Liam took care of Piper. Gave her his lunch, walked her into school, and held her hand. But one night, he just disappeared. But now he’s back, but in the most unexpecting way Piper could imagine. He’s part of the Heretics. An MC that is deadly. They are cruel, vicious, and Piper is caught in the middle.

I always love to read a story from Danielle. Her stories aren’t the typical ‘Weak female needs a man to come in and save her’ romance. Nope. She writes about strong, independent women who make them men fall to their knees.

Once again, Norman had me laughing and smiling while reading another story. I love the relationship with all of the women. I love seeing all of the other characters take small parts throughout the others books. Overall, this story is a feel good, sexy, dangerous romance that will leave you laughing.

Another must read installment of the Iron Badges series. This time it’s Piper hopefully getting her happily ever after. Full of the silly humor that’s expected when the girls get together, sexy humor, and this time more tears than ever! I couldn’t put down! Can’t wait to see who’s next!

The opening on this one broke my heart, I hated how she lived, but was so glad that she had some great people in her life to help her out. Yet it only made things worse when Liam disappeared. He made such a imprint on Piper that 20 years later she still thought about him.

When Piper ran into a guy who was Liam's twin, in a crazy twist, Piper was thrown to the past and it sort of messed with her head. Things from here went about how you expected, with lots of drama and action at the end.

Danielle Norman writes kick-a reads with tough biker babes that follow the law, but are hard as nails! I have enjoyed other books in her Iron Orchid series and I enjoyed this book, but I do not believe it was as good as others that she has written.

Piper is an awesome cop that follows the law to the T and has some awesome friends that share similar hobbies- such as riding motorcycles. I liked the idea of Piper, but I could not find myself connecting with her character. I really wanted to, but something was missing just a bit. Her backstory was set up perfectly in showcasing the deep bond that she had with her neighbor Liam that was the one bright spot of her life.... until he left. This book is finding out that he is back, but not on the right side of the law, but with a 1% MC. Can the deputy really find love with an outlaw?!

Connecting with Piper was a struggle, but connecting with Liam? Not at all. I freaking adored the guy. He might be with the MC, but MC alpha males are TOTALLY my jam ;) and Liam might be in the MC, but that does not make him a bad person, or does it?

All in all, I might not have connected with Piper, but I really enjoyed the story line and the TWISTS that Danielle threw in this book. No spoilers, but I think you will enjoy it and give it a 4.25 outta 5 stars! <3

PS: Thank you to Danielle and Give me Books PR for allowing me an advanced copy to read and review honesty!

Book'em Piper by Danielle Norman is book 3 in the Iron Badges series. This is Liam Kane and Piper Dupont's story.
When Piper was little, she had a pretty bad home life. Liam was someone who was alittle bit older and he looked out for her and took care of her until he disappeared on her in the middle of the night. She never saw him again...Fast forward years later and Piper is a motorcycle deputy and she gets a called out on a call and there one of the men happens to look like Liam but it couldn't be because he's tangled up in a bad MC gang called the Heretics when she asks him if he's Liam..the guy blows her off and denies he's "Liam". So she does digging and ends up on the MC's bad side and that's when the story really gets going.
Piper's childhood is heartbreaking and her memories of Liam are sad and sweet. Liam is this handsome man who has a past ...
Piper isn't a weak woman; she's strong and beautiful. She's had to learn to depend on herself. I enjoyed how Ms. Norman always writes her heroines and Piper is no different. The plot is strong, the chemistry is sizzling, the action is fantastic and the romance is phenomenal. I loved the twist and I can't wait for book 4!

I am loving these Iron Badges books so much and Piper Dupont's story was another great one to add to the series! Piper had a rough beginning in life but her childhood hero Liam Kane was always there to come to her rescue until one day when she was 8 years old and he was gone. It's now 25 years later and even though Piper has a great job as a police officer as well as fantastic friends she's never forgotten the boy from her youth. She has searched for him but has always come up empty. On a chance police call she runs into two motorcycle gang members. She is sure that one of them is her old friend Liam but he says that he is Kahn Lambert. Is he who he says he is? Is he Liam's doppelganger? Well if you want these questions answered then you need to read Book'em Piper because I'm not telling! It's a hot, wild ride told from dual POV and if you haven't read the other books in the series it stands alone but I recommend reading the other Iron Badges as well. Can't wait for the next one!

After reading the prequel for this series I wanted to know more about Piper. This was her story. Piper had a rough childhood with an absentee mother. Her saving grace was her neighbor Liam who looked out for her. Until one day he disappeared without a trace. She always wanted to know what happened to him and his disappearance was one of the reasons she wanted to be a cop. Fast forward twenty years and she's face to face with Liam again but now he's a member of a dangerous MC.
Piper is a cop now and he's in a notorious MC. How can they make their relationship work? This was a great story and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Piper is a motorcycle cop who comes face to face with a couple of the Heretics MC only one of them looks so familiar. Liam can’t believe his rotten luck, running into Piper after all these years. I think this is my favorite book by Danielle yet. It has humor, angst, heat, danger and plenty of friendship.

From an early age, Piper has had her, own prince. It was none of the likely people as you might expect, no it was, Liam. He is a neighbor boy who is three years older than herself and always looked out for her. She had no daddy and her mama had a different man in her bed most nights. Liam is the one that took her, to meet her teacher on the first day, of kindergarten. He made sure, that what little groceries her mama did buy, she knew where to hide them. Mainly so her mom’s visitors didn't eat it, and so she could make herself, lunch. He always made sure her homework was done and in her backpack, too. Twenty-five years have passed, and Piper needs, to check out an alarm going off at a storage facility. When she rolls up on it, she finds there are, two MC members. They are from the worse, of the worst clubs around. She calls for major backup due, to past knowledge about this, biker club. One guy seems familiar to her, even calls him by the, said name. But, does wish she can not get into a better discussion, but because of the other guy, Bladder. He is the troublemaker, and he won’t shut up. They check everything out, Candy aka, Liam is let go, and he has someone pick up, Bladder's bike. Why? Because Bladder is picked up, with a baggie of some kind of white powder. Piper can’t let the idea go, on this one. She has a gut feeling, that Candy is her, Liam. She is having such a hard time adjusting, to the middle ground, or the extreme. This is a much grittier book compared to the beginning of the series. I have to say there are some tears toward the end.

“Nothing mattered when I was Liam’s sunshine.”

I love Dani’s books! She keeps her readers always on the edge of thinking that they know what to expect when in all reality we have absolutely no clue where she’s going with the story! Love it...
Piper and Liam both have a crappy childhood and even rougher beginning in their young lives. One has an abusive father and the other has a neglectful mother. Liam is the one saving grace that Piper has, he is always looking out for her...until the one night he disappears without a trace.
Years later they reunite, only this time they are on opposite sides of the law. Piper is a deputy and Liam is a patched member to the local MC. This MC is criminal, they deal in guns, drugs and treat their women horrible. Piper is shocked to the least that her “Liam” is involved with this group and the fact he won’t leave is crushing to Piper. She just wants her “Liam” back not this Kahn character. Despite his warnings to leave him and to forget about him she can’t. She will find out if he’s truly her Liam. When she does get the answers she so desperately wants she finds herself thrown into a world of danger she never expected. Now together Liam and Piper must find a way out together...alive.

Still going good

Another really good read by an amazing author. I did enjoy this book but it wasn't my favourite by far, My favourite will always be Sadie but I love these group of girls and the crazy shenanigans they get up to. Piper is a motorcycle deputy and has been looking for Liam who was her child crush who disappeared in the middle of the night with his mom. Yet years later when responding to a call she meets a man she believes is Liam with every fibre of her being but the only problem is hes a member of an MC gang and his handle is known as Candy. They're attraction is explosive But Liam is hiding a secret that could get them both killed if revealed. It was a good story and easy to read, I will be moving on to hear more about this crazy group of bad @ss chick's.

Awesome

Read the authors blurb on the book if you want to know the story outline, she does it far better than I ever could.
Anyone that reads Danielle's books will know without a doubt they're going to love it, but for those of you who have never read her, firstly where in gods name have you been, secondly start reading you'll not be disappointed.
Piper can be read as a standalone but many of the characters are from other books in the original Iron Orchids series
I thoughly recommend reading any and all of Danielle Normans books they'll have you laughing out loud one moments then in tears the next but you can definitely be sure you'll get your happy ever after (thank god cuz otherwise I might have to have words!!!)

Wow! It has a little bit of everything, BFFS, action, surprises, suspense, drama, chaos, and lots of danger. The characters are awesome hot lady bikers (law abiding), sexy hot biker, evil bikers, law enforcement, and undercover agents. Finding the love of her life, captured, beaten, and rescued, grief that will destroy you, and hope for a happy ending. Many surprises and secrets are in store for you. This author is exceptional, her characters are amazing real, their emotions are so real you feel them, and want to be one of the BFFs.

This story didn’t spark my interest as much as the other books in this series did. Both Piper and Liam were likable characters. I didn’t buy their immediate sexual attraction based on the past friendship they experienced as grade school friends. That was a stretch for me. I could see them rekindling their friendship and then developing a sexual relationship. The scenes with Piper and her BFFs were too silly and lacking that something extra I enjoyed from past books.

Piper and Liam

Another great book in the series. Piper has loved Liam since she was little and he disappeared when she was in 3rd grade. She has looked for him all this years. On a routine call she come across who she thinks is him but he goes by a different name and is in a motorcycle gang. She along with her friends keep digging for the truth. Such a wonderful roller coaster. Loved the book.

Hmm okayish

I like this author and the series but the last two books have disappointed me. Piper is supposed to be an intelligent police woman but even I worked things out quickly. Then there’s the five of them all professional intelligent women messing around and playing private investigators. Sorry lost any semblance of believability.

What do you do when your protector from childhood comes back into your life as a member of a notorious motorcycle club? You go on the ride of your life! Danielle takes us on an edge of your seat action-packed ride with twists and turns you won't see coming. She also gives great comic relief with Piper and her girlfriends. I stumbled on this author about 2 years ago, along with this series. Since then, they're an automatic one-click addition to my kindle. I've truly enjoyed the original Iron Orchids series and the spin-off as well. The friendships that each of the women share in addition to the fun of the series makes these a winner for me.

What happens when a true honored deputy falls for an MC Club member??? Chaos. The story is a lot more complicated than what it seems. It is heart-breaking, funny, steamy, sad, and fast-paced. This is book 10 and features a bit of the earlier characters but establishes others to come in future stories.

Enjoyable Read

I enjoyed reading Piper and Liam’s story. It was fast paced and full of action. I was unsure why Piper had to be left in the dark at the end and felt she forgave Liam about that immediately as if it wasn’t an issue but still enjoyed the story.

Piper is so strong and has such a hard life. She has her Liam but when he is taken away at such a young age it is interesting how he comes back into her life. I love how Liam can’t stay away and still wants to only protect Piper. Their story is super sweet in a nasty biker kind of way...
