Nous y voilà, l’histoire du dernier frère Rourke est enfin sortie. Je me suis jetée dessus pour découvrir ce que l’auteure lui réservait. Et je dois dire qu’elle ne m’a pas déçu. Ce roman reste sur la même lignée que les précédents. L’histoire est rapide mais toujours aussi addictive.
Dans ce sixième tome, on retrouve Aidan qui doit gérer le casino dans lequel il a investi avec sa sœur Emma et son mari Jackson. Ayant trop à gérer il va essayer de trouver quelqu’un pour l’épauler. Alors quand il revoit un amour d’enfance qui aimait autant le poker que lui. Il pense a un coup du destin et fonce la retrouver. Quand, il va revoir Sara, il va ressentir toutes les émotions du passé et ce pacte qu’ils avaient fait en étant enfant va tout de suite prendre une autre tournure dans leur vie d’adulte. Que dire d’Aidan. Il est le prince par excellence. Distingué, courtois, bienveillant, poli, galant…bref c’est un prince et bien évidemment qu’il m’a séduite tout comme ces frères. Quant à Sara, son histoire passée et présente m’a touché profondément. La vie ne l’a pas épargné et elle s’est formé une carapace solide autour de son cœur. Seule sa petite sœur Chloé compte. Jusqu’au jour où Aidan revient dans sa vie et vient bousculer tout ce qu’elle avait construit. Leur romance monte crescendo puis stagne un peu pour finir en apothéose. Ils ont joué, ils ont parié et ils ont surtout gagné le gros lot.
Pour la sixième fois, l’auteure m’a emporté dans son histoire. Je me suis encore laissé charmer et je me suis attachée aux personnages principaux et secondaires. J’ai hâte de connaître l’histoire des cousins des Rourke alias les cousins de Brooklyn dans une toute nouvelle série qui leur sera dédiée. Le premier tome sera sur Dylan, un cousin que l’on aperçoit dans ce récit, lors d’un échange entre Aidan et lui. Quel plaisir également de retrouver Villroy et cette famille princières à laquelle je me suis attachée tome après tome.
Un dernier opus avec une histoire touchante qui parle de deux êtres qui étaient destinés depuis toujours. Un dernier opus que j’ai lu avec beaucoup d’impatience mais également beaucoup de tristesse car je savais que j’allais tous les quitter. Cette série est addictive et comme je le répète depuis le début, ne vous arrêter pas aux premières pages mais persévérer un peu. Kylie Gilmore met toujours plusieurs chapitres avant de vraiment lancer son histoire et de capturer son lecteur. Je relirai cette sublime série, c’est certain!

As a child and pre-teen, Sara spent her summers on Villroy, playing with Royal twins Silvia and Adrian. At age twelve, Sara and Adrian swore a solemn vow to marry when they were twenty-five. Adrian is in charge of the new casino on Villroy, hoping to attract more visitors to the island and improve the economy. Being a gentleman and a card shark is was a natural fit. Unfortunately, Sara’s parents were killed the following year and she stopped communicating with the twins.
Living in New York it was natural for Silvia to locate Sara but after learning about the poker games she was operating she contacted Adrian with her concerns. Adrian was once Sara’s hero and now that they were both twenty-five it was time for a visit. Adrian rides in with the perfect solution, return to Villroy to work for him at the casino. Adrian did not expect the stubborn, independent Sara to give up her game or leave her grown sister. Adrian goes all in, convincing Sara to take a chance on him, his job offer, and a return to Villroy.
Ms. Gilmore wrote a wonderful, sexy, and moving tale filled with sexual chemistry, challenging situations, and endearing characters that is not to be missed. I loved how she found a way to provide Adrian and Sara a love and future together that neither ever expected. I highly recommend Royal Shark to other readers.

What a great final story in this amazing series! I think Adrian took the cake for the hottest and most lovable Rourke brother! 5 royal stars for this one!

He hasn't seen her in twelve years so he jumps at the chance.
Sara has been taking care of her younger sister since they lost their parents. She's doing what she needs to to put her through med school. Running a poker game with some rich russian men, earning more in two nights a week then she did working two jobs weekly. Spoilers! Sara spent summers on Villroy playing with twins Adrian and Sylvia. Who also happen to be a prince and princess. When Sara and Adrian were 12 they made a pact to marry at the age of 25 and sealed their pledge with their first kiss. Sadly, that is the last summer Sara's family visit's Villroy due to a tragedy. Although Adrian and Sylvia reach out to Sara many times, Sara isn't ready to face the memories of her 12 year old self and a happier time. It's taken her too long to learn to handle her grief and she can't go down that rabbit hole again.
Then Adrian shows up at her door after hearing Sylvia did the same and wasn't turned away. The attraction is immediate and intense. Adrian, who now runs the casino on Villroy, is there to #1 see Sara and #2 alleviate Sylvia's concern that the poker games that Sara's running are safe. After spending one evening with Sara, Adrian is convinced that their younger selves knew they were meant to be together and how perfect Sara would be to help run the casino with him. Now to just convince Sara who is resistant to even a visit to Villroy.
Enjoyed this book as I did all of the other Royals. However, not quite as much. The others I found myself hard-pressed to put it down and more swoon-worthy.

Sara used to visit Villroy every summer with her parents and her little sister. When Sara's parents died, the visits stop. It is too painful for Sara to return and remember the happy times they had there and she has to take care of her sister who is not in college. They are all each other has.

This has been a truly captivating series. Each story is self contained & can be read as a stand alone. The main cast of characters are the same royal family & their assorted & diverse collection of family & friends.
Royal Shark is the story of a pair of childhood friends that promised to marry each other when they reach 25 years old. Since her parents died, Sara hasn’t set foot in Villroy. She can’t handle the memories. Adrian found out she was running card games in New York & wanted her to help run the new casino in Villroy. He didn’t expect the attraction that flared from the moment he saw her all grown up. He also didn’t count on her stubbornness.
This was a hot, sexy, entertaining read. The royal family is brought down to earth & is very relatable the way Ms. Gilmore writes about them. The interactions are highly charged, witty, & emotional. Sara had to learn that her memories could give her comfort instead of despair. Adrian had to learn to treat Sara gently & differently than he had treated the other women in his life. Neither of them trusted the connection they felt. This was an excellent addition to the series.

Thirteen years ago, when they were just 12 yrs old, Sara Travers said goodbye to Prince Adrian. But before they parted they made a pact. If they were both single at the age of 25 they would reunite and marry. What girl doesn't dream of marrying a prince, and even if Sara didn't care about becoming a princess she has dreamed of Adrian coming for her and them having their happily ever after. But the sudden loss of her parents left her to care for her young sister.
Adrian has never forgotten his first love and when his sister contacts him regarding the danger Sara is putting herself in Adrian makes it his priority to change that. The fact that they are both 25 years old now is just a coincidence.
Sweet story, dramatic plot, with memorable characters, I truly loved this book and the entire series!

Sweet story, dramatic plot, with memorable characters, I truly loved this book and the entire series!

Royal Shark is my favorite of the Royal Rourke series by Kylie Gilmore. Adrian Rourke is a card shark is running the casino for his family and is over worked. Adrain, his twin Siliva and Sara were childhood play friends on the island of Villroy during the summers when Sara’s family vacation on the island. When they were twelve Adrain and Sara made a marriage pact when they turned 25 and that was the last time they saw each other. Silvia tells Adrian about Sara running private poker games in NYC and she is not sure Sara is safe and he needs to help her. This is a heartwarming wonderful story of a Knight and shining and Adrian makes a perfect knight. I highly recommend reading this book. I received this book as an arc for an honest review of it.

Royal Shark was a great story by the talented Kylie Gilmore, this was a story that will tug at your heart strings have you giggling out loud and totally falls for the fantastic characters. This is Adrian and Sara’s story, two people who grew up being the best of friends during the summers of their youths. Due to circumstances they loss touch until Adrian’s sister brings them together and this is where the real fun starts. I have to say I absolutely loved this book or should I say The Rourkes this was a great series and so well written in my opinion. Can’t wait for more from this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I just finished Royal Shark, #6 in The Rourkes series, and I loved it!! Royal Shark is Adrian and Sara's story. Adrian is running the new casino on Villroy and its proving to be more difficult than he first thought. Sara, who spent her summers on Villroy when she was a kid, is now running a poker game in New York to make ends meet. When Adrian and Sara reconnect, Adrian decides that she would be the perfect person to help him run the new Villroy casino. Unfortunately, Sara isn't convinced that moving to Villroy would work for her.

I guess that is how it is done. One pact, one call, one encounter, one love. Adrian and Sara story was pure and sweet.
Determined to still be the hero, Adrian went above and beyond. Showed love, support, and a little manipulation. To be honest all he did along with Chloe was drop some truthism and bring light to darkness. Heal the broken and break down walls that was built for survival.
Kylie has a knack for royalty and segwaying into the next series.... This was a touching story and one full of promise and a few tears.

Such a sweet story! I loved that the book started with Sara and Adrian as children. That sets the perfect tone for the rest of the story. Sara has been through a lot, and she has some healing to do. Adrian is just the man to support her while she reaches for a new life. It's all very romantic.
I was glad that we got to know more about Silvia, and I really like Chloe, Sara's sister. And I am excited to see that this is not the end of the series! We briefly meet Dylan in this book. He is one of the Rourke cousins, and the teaser chapter of his book looks terrific.

Fabulous conclusion to this series which also sets up the next series with the exiled cousins from New York!! Can't wait for that!! Royal Shark has Prince Adrian and Sara, friends as children, who make a pact to marry when they turn 25 years old!! After a decade they reunite and the feelings of love and lust are undeniable!! Adrian must try to get Sara past all her old demons and get past her wall around her heart in order to be together forever!! This book is a must buy!! Could not put it down once I started!! Royal Shark proves hands down that this is a winning combination!!

I loved the chemistry between Adrian and Sara , their past history together as children was a nice touch. Their pact to Marry at 25 Made When they were in their teens. The banter between the two of them was very witty . The only thing that stopped me giving this 5 stars was the fact that gambling, casinos and poker does absolutely nothing for me and I found the subject off putting. Other than that this was another page Turner and I can't wait to read the next one about the Rourke cousins .

Adrian is great and willing to travel, find Sara, and help her out of the dangerous situation she put herself in. Sara kids herself thinking she is a responsible adult, but she is running a sketchy poker game with even sketchier men. She has no care for her nor her sister's safety and the large amounts of money she is dealing with. She is very lucky nothing worse happened to her. Her refusal to contact Adrian was childish. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Adrian seems to be the quiet brother but he is every bit the hero to Sara. These two spent summers together as kids and when they come together as adults their chemistry is so good that it is clear they were always meant to be together. Sara has a few demons to overcome before they get their HEA but Adrian is patient and persistent. This is a really sweet romance with great characters.

I'm so glad I finally got to read Adrian's story!
The bond that he and Sara share from childhood is amazing and I loved watching how everything unfolded. It's really amazing how some connections are meant to be from the beginning and how things always happen for a reason to bring you back together.

Adrian and Sarah's story is interesting as it revolves around the world of gambling and casinos, but with friendship and tragedy in the mix. I haven't read all of the books in order in this series but it really hasn't been a problem as each one is stand alone. A very enjoyable way to spend time with fun, down to earth Royals.

All'inizio lei fa resistenza ma alla fine la sua corazza si scioglie, i due protagonisti sono perfetti l'uno per l'altra. Ora non vedo l'ora di continuare la serie con i cugini. 5 stelle

Wow, just wow! I really enjoyed Adrian and Sara’s story. I love how she came through adversity to care for Chloe as she did. I love her independence and how she values family. Adrian knew at a young age That they were meant for each other. Can’t wait to read more

This is the last book on the Rourke series and did it deliver. Adrian is the youngest. He's a card shark who is now running a casino to help the economy of his country. It's so much more work than he every imagined. He needs help. Enter Sara. At age 12, he was her hero and they made a pact to get married when they were 25. Time passes and they are estranged. But they are now 25 and Sara runs s reptile poker game in Brooklyn. She had all the skills he needs in a manner plus she's a knockout. Now all he had to do is persuade her to take a chance on them. He's all in but will she see is bet??
Also this book introduced us to Dylan. He should have been king but his father abdicated the throne and his family was exiled from Villroy. His family will be the next books of Kylie Gilmore's Rourke series. I can't wait to get to know them!!

This story was a little heartbreaking, but ended completely beautifully.
Sara used to spend summer on villroy with her family, she was friend with the twins Prince Adrian and princess Sylvia.
Unknown to everyone it would be the last summer there, when Adrian and sara made a pact to marry at 25.
Now there both 25 but haven't seen each other in 12 years when an unexpected visit from Sylvia has them all reconnecting.
Sara and Adrian have a chemistry and bond that's extremely deep from years of friendship as kids and now attraction as adults.
This is a beautiful story.
Now I can't wait to meet the Brooklyn Rourke's
