Inside the New Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport

Just three weeks ago, the 1,054 room Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport opened with great excitement. It still has that new car smell, extra cushy carpets that haven’t yet been trampled on by thousands of feet, and staff who are thrilled to show off their brand-new venue bustling for the first time with activity.

Located directly across the street from the BCEC, the Omni is linked via a glass enclosed walkway below Summer Street which provides easy access between the two buildings. Construction is planned over the coming years to enhance the BCEC’s connection up to the main Summer Street level.

The Omni brings luxury to its guest rooms with 1,054 total rooms in two towers: The Patron Tower and the Artist Tower. The Patron Tower houses traditional guest rooms, all 52 suites, and offers spectacular views of the city skyline, Boston Harbor, Massachusetts Bay, and South Boston. The suites host free-standing tubs, and all Patron rooms are stunningly accented with colors of black and rose gold and feature separate vanities for morning or evening preparations. The Artist Tower offers open-concept, loft-style rooms with exposed stamped concrete ceilings, hardwood floors, and views of Massachusetts Bay, Boston Harbor, and South Boston. Accented in black and bronze, the rooms provide privacy with both a separate shower and water closet. Patron Tower rooms have complimentary in-room coffee machines, while Artist Tower rooms have innovative complimentary hot beverage stations on each floor — offering coffee, tea, lattes, hot chocolates, espressos, and more.

OMNI BOSTON SEAPORT ROOFTOP POOL

The Omni has approximately 100,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting, event, and pre-function space. They offer the largest hotel ballroom in the city at 26,000 square feet, featuring coffered ceilings and elegant finishes. Other remarkable meeting spaces include a 3,000-square-foot outdoor Elevate Balcony with westward views of the Boston skyline and the BCEC, and — perhaps the most exciting of all — a rooftop pool deck to host seasonal events. Other features include touchscreen digital displays throughout the public space and multiple activation locations throughout the hotel, including a performance stage in the lobby which hosts a variety of activations such as a local jazz quartet each Thursday from 5-8PM.

OMNI BOSTON SEAPORT LOBBY GALLERY

When you’re inside the Omni, you don’t feel like you’re in a convention-sized hotel. In fact, the hotel feels more like an urban resort. The year-round rooftop pool deck has an infinity pool, hot tub, fire pits, and views of South Boston. The pool deck is directly connected to Lifted Pool Bar, which will surely be a cocktail destination for both guests and visitors with its hydraulic garage door-style retractable windows and amazing downtown Boston views. There are six additional dining venues with a variety of public/private dining options: The Sporting Club (an upscale sports bar with small and shareable plates, crafted food, and specialty cocktails), Kestra (Mediterranean-American that is open for breakfast and lunch and offers multiple private dining rooms), Crescendo (lobby wine bar with a pre-show buzz), Cocorico (all-day coffee and fresh baked goods, which will transform into an evening wine and dessert bar, located in the lobby), and the most exciting addition: Coquette, a modern-day French brasserie offering coastal French fare in a luxurious environment. Coquette is a 240-seat establishment by Coje Group (Lolita, Yvonne’s, and Mariel are a few of their local sister restaurants) that is not to be missed.

OMNI BOSTON SEAPORT THE SPORTING CLUB

On the note of luxury, the Omni will soon be opening their Breve Spa, which will pair sound therapy healing sessions with standard spa services such as massages, customized facials with 111SKIN, blow-outs, nail services, makeup application, and saunas, including a spacious yet intimate couple’s massage room. Breve Spa can be reserved for small groups. For additional self-care, there is also a giant, state-of-the-art, 24-hour fitness center with Peloton®, Cybex, and StairMaster® equipment, and 200-feet of continuous floor-to-ceiling windows.

OMNI BOSTON SEAPORT CONTEMPORARY MEETING ROOM

The attention to detail is impressive. Not a single thing was forgotten in the rest of the hotel, either. The entrance columns directly inside the lobby’s main doors are wrapped in fine wool and hand stitched with leather. The artwork throughout the entire hotel was carefully curated, from the lobby to guest room hallways, all referencing Boston’s rich heritage across academia and the visual and performing arts. There are gallery-sized photographs of local theaters, including the Boston Opera House. An exhibit of artfully constructed and deconstructed sneakers — highlighting a variety of brands from our local sneaker companies (such as Reebok, New Balance, Converse, Saucony, and Sperry) — can be found in the lobby near Sporting Club, which has a pommel horse for the host’s stand atop hardwood parquet flooring repurposed from the former Boston Celtics practice facility. It’s also hard to miss the overall natural light thanks to giant floor to ceiling windows throughout the building, especially in the meeting spaces.
