Are you planning to attend the International Energy Workshop (IEW) at NREL/Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO, June 13-15? *
Are you interested in participating in a three hour Macro-Energy Systems community event, 1:30-4:00pm on June 15th, following the close of IEW? 

A draft agenda includes:

-MES community welcome and introductions
-Panel on 'Finding Your Way in Macro-Energy Systems," featuring conversation on how researchers got into this area of work, how they've navigated their careers, and what they want to get out of the MES community
-Working sessions on "Making MES work" - small group working sessions to advance community goals (i.e. write a workshop proposal, create an open data repository, plan a speaker series, compile educational tools, etc.)

A social reception will follow the meeting, starting 4:30pm at a location to be announced.

Note that attendance at this MES event does not require participation in IEW. (Those of you in the area or attending ISSST who wish to join us are welcome to do so!).
