Join us to defeat T1D 6-1 to Type None!
YourTennisGame and our event committee is excited to bring our tennis community together to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and those impacted by type 1 diabetes!
The cause:
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people—and to prevent anyone else from ever knowing it—by funding research, advocating for government support of research and new therapies, ensuring new therapies come to market and connecting and engaging the T1D community.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults—and has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. With T1D, a person's pancreas stops producing insulin —a hormone essential to turning food into energy. The daily life of someone with T1D brings a multitude of challenges, including insulin injections that need to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, disruptive glucose monitoring, sleepless nights—and wishing for a tomorrow where this struggle doesn't exist.
By supporting the YourTennisGame Doubles for JDRF, you'll help JDRF fund life-changing breakthroughs to make living with T1D a little easier, until there is a cure.
