Erik
Nothing rattles me. Well... almost nothing. As the most even-tempered player on the Chicago Blaze, I take everything in stride - hockey, fame and life in general. No one knows that deep down, even I've got a trigger. She's a tall brunette with a gorgeous smile and an iron will. The woman who crushed my heart long ago. I never plan to return to Greentree Falls, Wisconsin and lay eyes on Allie Douglas again - until suddenly, I'm left without a choice.
Allie
Somehow, I'm keeping it all together. Raising my nieces and nephew alone and working takes everything I've got and then some, but I get by. I don't have time for love, and who needs a man, anyway? I gave up the love of my life a decade ago, and now he's just a distant memory. Until one day, he comes back home. And once I see him, I'm not keeping it together anymore. Not even close.

I love second-chance romance!! Especially one that has been ten years in the making. It’s so satisfying to see the main characters resolve the issues and reunite—essentially picking up where they left off and finally finding their happily ever after. Sigh.

Sometimes getting to that happily ever after takes a bit of work. Erik and Allie certainly had a bit more difficult path! It wasn’t Easy by any means. But it was so worth it!

Erik and Allie fell in love as teenagers. They’d planned for their future, until that future never transpired. Erik went on to become one of the best players in the NHL. Allie shifted priorities from securing her own future to taking on the full-time care and raising of her nieces and nephew.

Ten years later, Erik and Allie reunite at last. And finally accept that the choices they made ten years ago were right at the time, but now it was time to move past the hurt and look toward the future. A future together.

I loved Allie and Erik. Loved that they were able to put the past behind them. To truly understand each other’s point of view. And then work together to decide their future. Theirs is an honest to goodness true love story. And I loved every moment spent with them! ~ Missy, 5 stars

4.5 Easy and Allie Stars

I love this author's work and Ice Hockey Romance is my kindle catnip for sure so I happily dived into this latest instalment about the Chicago Blaze men and the women in their lives and got lost for a few hours with a Hero who now owns a little bit of my heart.

Easy (Erik Zimmerman) is enjoying the start to his Summer off season when his Mum needs his help back in the home town he has avoided for the last ten years. No one can say no to Mrs Z , so he makes the trip home immediately bumping into the girl that owned his heart....and broke it. Allie Douglas is the reason Easy hasn't been home in forever. As he was going off to College to start his aim of being in the NHL , Allie was hit by tragedy and found herself as guardian to her nephew and toddler twin nieces. She broke things off with Erik, not wanting to hold him back from all the opportunities ahead of him. But now he's back and all those feelings that never really went away come rushing back.

“We had dreams, Cade. Me and her. You think the NHL is my great love? It never was. It’s her. It’s always been her.”

This is a really enjoyable second chance romance. Erik is the kindest , loveliest guy and Allie needs her man back - someone to fight life's battles alongside her.
So why not 5 stars? I would have liked a bit more of a build up to the two of them reconnecting after they see each other for the first time and it felt a little bit rushed at times. It could just be me being greedy though - I devour every word Ms Rothert writes.

This book is pure romance and passion - that heady feeling when you just cannot stay away from the person who owns your heart, the inherent feeling of being connected through time and life events - it all simmers in the pages of this gorgeous book. It was lovely to see how the rest of the team stepped up to support Erik and Allie too. I love the banter between the guys.

Jonah's story is up next and I cannot wait!

HEA? Yes, so lovely.
Cheating? No. These two are solid.

Allie and Erik fell in love in high school and planned to spend their future together. Erik was a very talented ice hockey player with a promising future in the NHL. His whole future was mapped out and he couldn’t wait to spend it with Allie. When tragedy hits, Allie is left raising her nieces and nephew so her life focus from now on is on them. There is no way she will hold Erik back from the future he deserves, despite what she had hoped for them. She makes the choice for him and it will be 10 years before they see each other again.

Erik has not been back to his hometown because seeing Allie again is not something he is ready for. However, when he gets an SOS from his mum, he has no choice but to suck it up and do what he needs to do. The moment he lays eyes on Allie again the ten years they have been apart seem to melt away. Everything he felt as a teenager comes flooding back. The same thing happens for Allie, she is initially shocked to see Erik but also really happy to see him.

Raising three children on her own has been tough for Allie and now that they are teenagers there are new challenges. The biggest one is the annual visits from her sister, their mother. She turns up and disrupts their lives, exiting as fast she can. Allie has complete custody and guardianship of the kids but Jenna likes to push the boundaries as much as she can. Nothing Jenna does is in the best interests of the kids, just herself.

Erik doesn’t like that Allie carries so much responsibility on her shoulders and he regrets that they ever broke up. From hereon he wants to make life better and easier on them all. He just needs to convince Allie to take a chance on them and this time make it a permanent one. When things go horribly wrong with one of the kids, Allie begins to realise that Erik the only one she can truly count on to have her back. Maybe being with him will be...easy.

This is another great story in the Chicago Blaze series.

Very easy, fast-paced read. I really enjoyed it. This is Allie and Erik's (Easy) story. and it's A 10 years later second chance romance.

Erik and Allie's epic teenage romance was cut short by a family tragedy and duty, and they haven't seen each other in 10 years. Until fate intervenes and now NHL star Erik is forced to come back to his small hometown for the summer. Will he finally see Allie again? What will he say? How will he react? Does Allie still have feelings for him? Does she miss what they had like he does?

All these questions are answered and it's a mostly sweet journey to watch Allie and Erik reconnect. Throw in some drama with Allie's flake of a sister and you get to see how supportive Erik is and how strong of a woman A!lie is.The connection between Allie and Erik is strong, and I never doubted that they wouldn't blow the second chance they'd been given. My only quibble is that I could've used a few more chapters... but that's just me enjoying a good story!

I started this one when it first came out since Ms. Rothert is an auto buy author and I always drop what I’m reading to switch to her latest. It started off well enough Erik Nothing is a successful NHL player who is headed home after the season is over in order to take care of his mother and his aunt. It’s there he runs into Allie Douglas; the girl he was in love with before he turned pro. So far so good. They run into each other and sparks fly. We get to see what broke them up and Erik, or Easy as he is known as, displayed a great deal of selfishness and he annoyed me enough to put the book down and I got distracted by other books and kind of forgot about it. Then reading Jonah reminded me of this book and I was well over my snit so I picked it up and finished reading it. I’m glad I did as I ended up quite enjoying it.

Allie and Easy were deeply in love and had plans to be together 10 years ago until her parents are killed in a car crash. They had been raising Allie’s older sister’s kids as her sister was a flake and took off leaving her three children behind. Allie’s life does a 180 as she is now the one to raise the children. The reason I got annoyed with Easy is that when that happened and he and Allie broke up at her insistence. She knew her life would be changed forever and she didn’t want to hold easy back just as he was really starting to make it big. He didn’t take it well and has held onto his anger for 10 years now. At this point in the book I just found him way too self-absorbed. Sure his heart was broken, I get that. But he’s gone on to be successful, to make pots and pots of money and to have whatever woman he wants. He didn’t really consider Allie’s pain and loss and sacrifice. She lost her parents, she’s losing the love of her life and she now has immediate care and custody of three young people. She hasn’t had it easy, not at all. I just wanted to smack Easy by this point and tell him to get over himself.

Of course while he’s back home, he runs into Allie and their feelings for each other are just as deep as the ever were. Only now Easy is older and more mature and is able to see that Allie has been very hurt too. They both want a second chance but how will that work out?

I liked the more mature Easy. He’s good with her nieces and nephew and even helps coach one of the nieces. When Allie’s sister and the mother of the children shows up and wants to take the kids away, even though she is still very much a flake and could offer them no kind of stability at all, Easy supports her. Turns out he’s quite a good guy after all.

And Allie is such an amazing heroine. She stepped into the role of mother and it’s clear how much she loves them. Even though her life was turned upside down she feels no resentment. She does the best she can with what she has and is a mother bear when it comes to the kids. She puts them first and she is really to be admired.

I found that Ms. Rothert stumbled for me with Alexi, but she’s getting back in the groove with Easy. I’m glad because I really do love her books and her hockey stories in particular.

If you are looking for a perfect summer read, here is the formula...
Continuation of an awesome series + A swoony good guy hero + a strong heroine + a second chance at love. With Easy, Ms Rothert definitely delivers a touching second chance romance that had me hooked from the very beginning.

Erik (Easy) has been a character that I have enjoyed every time he has appeared in the Blaze series. I enjoyed getting to see him in his hometown to get to know him better. This book takes place in the off season, so there is not as much interaction with the rest of his Blaze teammates, but a few key players do sneak in on occasion. Allie is Erik's high school sweetheart who has been raising her nieces and nephew on her own for the last 10 years. She is an incredibly like able character that I found myself rooting for from the very beginning.

Ms Rothert does an excellent job of letting us see inside the heads and hearts of both Erik and Allie. These glimpses into the whys and hows of their initial break up and how they feel about each other now make me root for them both to find a happy ever after. One of the things I appreciated most about this story is that Ms Rothert made the children Allie is raising main characters in the story as well. While this is very much a romantic story about a rekindled relationship, it's also a story about maintaining and creating a new family.

Easy is very much a standalone read. It fits very well in to the Blaze world, but if a reader is joining midstream then this would be a good place to start.

Second chance romance at its best and once you add it a great hockey storyline you get the perfect read for all lovers of romance in general as well as sports romance lovers.
Erik and Allie broke up when Allie graduated high school but what Erik never knew was she was doing what she thought was best for him, she loved him enough to let him go, to let him follow his career in the NHL without having her and her family commitments. Erik is forced back to his hometown when his mum and aunt both need help do to an accident and as soon as he comes face to face with Allie he realises what he left behind, he realises he still has feelings for his childhood sweetheart.....
Allie is now raising her sisters 3 children and life hasn’t been easy so will she be prepared to take a leap of faith and see where fate is going to take her or will she still believe Erik is better off without her and the children she loves so dearly....
I loved everything about this book, I loved Erik and Allie, I loved the kids and their teenage tantrums, I loved Erik’s small family unit but most importantly I loved the feels this book gave me. This is a beautifully written love story that I highly recommend. Great job Ms Rothert.

It’s been nearly a decade since Allie ended her relationship with Erik and it wasn’t because she didn’t love him but rather it was because she did. Their dreams for the future included each other until her life was turned upside down and although she doesn’t regret raising her nephew and nieces the one thing she does regret is losing Erik.

In the years since Erik and Allie were together he has gone on to forge a successful professional hockey career, but he hasn’t forgotten the woman who broke his heart. When he finds himself back in his hometown and sees Allie will this be their second chance or are they destined to end in heartbreak once again?

This is a heartwarming story about love, family and second chances. There was no doubting that Allie and Erik have always belonged together, and it is finally their time.

Easy is an amazing, sweet second chance romance.
Erik ‘Easy’ Zimmerman is a pro hockey player for the Chicago Blaze. In his off time, he returns to his small hometown to help his mom and aunt when they are both recovering from injuries. He tries to avoid seeing former girlfriend Allie because he is still heartbroken from their break up teen years earlier. But small town and all, they are soon thrown together. Easy and Allie have changed but their love has never faded.
I picked up these Chicago Blaze stories for the super hot covers, but I continue reading them for the wonderful, emotional and touching stories.

This is another good book in this series. Erik is a hockey player for the Chicago Blaze and also goes by Easy. It broke my heart why Erik and Allie broke up when Allie graduated high school. Ms. Rothert’s writing brings out the love and anguish the two have gone through the last ten years. When Erik is forced to go back home (he is such a good son), he runs into Allie again and he feels the love he has always had for Allie. I was in awe of what Allie gave up to raise her nephew and two nieces. I really disliked Allie’s sister and how she tried to manipulate people, especially her child. This is such a beautiful love story. I even had happy tears at the end of the book. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

This book was so good. I'm a sucker for second chance romances. They're always has to be a little bit of drama to continue the storyline and this one's not crazy over the top. Good story about a single mom and what makes a family.

5 star Review Easy (Chicago Blaze #6) by Brenda Rothert

The sixth book in the Chicago Blaze series and is the second change at love story story of defender Erik Zimmerman aka Easy and the woman he has always been in love with Allie Douglas. It most definitely can be read as a stand alone and it is not necessary to have read the previous books. However, do yourselves a favour if you haven’t read them yet and one click, they are a brilliant read and one of my favourite hockey series ever.

Easy is so swoon worthy, his strength and determination and his unwavering love for Allie was beautiful to read about and I was riveted from the first to the last page. Allie’s selflessness in giving up the man she loves to raise her nieces and nephew was inspiring.

Brenda Rothert has written a story that you cannot help but become invested in. There were times I laughed and times I cried and on a few occasions I was on the edge of my seat fearing for what was playing out and hoping that all would come good in the end. However throughout it all there was such a feeling of love, hope, strength and determination that I was cheering for these two wonderful people to get the love and family that they both deserve.

This is at times an emotional roller coaster of a read as Easy and Allie fight for their happily ever after and as always it was great to see the appearance of some familiar faces, it just adds that additional layer to what was truly a wonderful book to read.
I am excited for the next book in the series which is Jonah’s story.

Allie inherited her nephew Max and twin nieces Hazel and Vi at her parents death. Her sister, Jenna made random visits in and out of their lives, three children with two different men. Hazel and Max are grounded in reality and resent their mother. Vi is needy and susceptible to false promises.

Allie made a decision to end her relationship with Erik, although she loved him because he would have sacrificed his career dreams to support her and the children therefore she made a clean break. “I said horrible things to you when we broke up, because I just wanted to drive you away. I thought it would be easier to break up than to try to be together and fail. And even after that, after ten years…you still opened your arms, your life and…your bank account to me. You’ve never failed me, Erik. I failed you when I told you ten years ago that I didn’t want you anymore. Because I did.

Erik is the man he is today because his Mum and Aunt Jo. Jenna’s kids are who they are because of Allie. When she broke up with him, he intended to quit school and move back for her. She meant more than school or hockey. His pride and immaturity when she claimed “they’re the only family I have left, and I have to put my family first”. After four years together, he thought he was her family, too.

He didn’t understand the choice of being a full-time parent. He resented them for taking her away. Allie was grieving her parents death and she made the children a priority and did at the time what she thought was best for him, putting him ahead of what would’ve been best for her.

He still loves her despite having lost her a long time ago, not just a fondness for the memories of their relationship but an all consuming love. Raising three kids alone makes her fierce, smart, sweet, brave and strong. So desirable.

Erik came back temporarily to help his mother, she and his aunt are irascibly meddlesome but cute.

“Aunt Allie, thanks for coaching my soccer team all those years ago and making a strawberry cake every year for my birthday,” Max says. “Thanks for teaching me how to drive, for washing all of my uniforms about three hundred times and for cooking us dinner every nigh. Most of the time.”

“Oh, Max. I’ve loved every second of it.” He turns serious and clears his throat. “I know it hasn’t always been easy. You’ve given up a lot to take care of us. And you’re putting your own happiness on hold for me this school year. I just want you to know…I love you and I know you’ve made Grandma and Grandpa proud.” “I love you, too.”

Max moves aside then and Vi walks out from behind the garage, carrying a dozen yellow roses. She’s crying before she even gets to Allie to pass her the bouquet. “Aunt Allie, thank you for all the times you made me a Halloween costume even though it took forever and you had no idea how you’d make me into things like a cupcake and the sun. And thank you for showing us what it means to love someone else more than yourself.
“I’ll always love you, you guys are the light of my life.” Vi pulls away from Allie and looks over at me with a smile.

Then Hazel comes out, carrying a dozen light pink roses. She passes them to her. “Aunt Allie, you’re the greatest. Thank you for always supporting me in everything I do. Thank you for getting up early to drive to my tournaments and never minding that they take all weekend. I just…I really love you”.
“I love you, too. And you all make me so proud.”

Hazel meets my eyes and I nod. She reaches for the flowers and I pass them back to her, and the other two kids walk over to us. I reach into my pocket and palm the ring box I put there this morning.

When I get down on one knee, Allie releases a shocked gasp and covers her face with her hands. “Allie Douglas, I’ve loved you for a very long time now. You’re everything to me, and…” I grin and shake my head, because now I’m the one who’s choked up. “If you’ll be my wife, and if you, me and the kids can be a family, it’ll make me the happiest man in the world. So please, Allie, marry me?” She’s nodding her head and leaning down to kiss me at the same time. “Yes, yes, yes.” Everyone around us cheers as I slide the ring with a round solitaire onto her finger. She looks down at it and then back at me, her lips parted with shock. “It’s beautiful!” she cries. “We helped pick it out,” Vi says. “We knew you’d love it.” “I do. It’s so perfect.” I stand up and hug Allie while burying my face in her hair, soaking in a few moments of just me and her. I knew when I decided to propose today that it wouldn’t be the most intimate setting, but I also knew Allie would want to include the kids. My mom and Aunt Jo are here, too, which meant a lot to me. When I look over at them, they’re both wiping their eyes. Mom gives me a big smile and comes rushing over. “Congratulations!” she says, hugging Allie and then me. “I couldn’t have asked for a better daughter in law.” “Aw, thank you,” Allie says. “I feel the same way about you.” Mom’s smile gets wider. “And this means I get to be a grandma!” “Well, not immediately, Allie says, laughing. “But yes, someday for sure.”

Mom looks over at Max, Vi and Hazel and says, “Those three are my grandbabies now.” “Oh.” Allie’s expression softens and she takes my mom’s hand. “Yes, they are. Thank you for that.” Mom looks to the sky and puts her hand up. “And two of them are girls, thank you, Jesus! I finally got some girls!” She goes over to the kids and I hear her tell them they can call her Grandma from now on.

The catalyst that brought them together was Jenna’s abduction of Vi, telling her they were going to lunch and that her aunt had approved, then she just kept driving. Jenna refused to allow Vi to ring Allie and she wouldn’t let her leave the car, locking her in a room at a random houses.

It’s been the longest two weeks. Thirteen days, to be exact. Since the day Vi disappeared. The Police Chief, has gone over developments in the case. Every potential sighting, every potential vehicle, every potential lead. At first, I didn’t realize how many reported sightings would turn out to be false. Erik hired a team of private investigators from Chicago to supplement the police force working on the investigation. Once we knew it was Jenna who took Vi, because the police discovered Jenna had ditched her car at a friend’s house and borrowed a different one to disguise her whereabouts, the police became less frantic about finding Vi. They’re still taking the situation seriously, but they are confident that Jenna and Vi will turn up. I hope they’re right, but I’m not underestimating the lengths my sister would go to in order to punish me. I know it was our conversation in the bar that night—our last interaction—that caused her to run with Vi.

“I’m sorry, baby. That must’ve been really scary.” “Aunt Allie, I’m so sorry for all the things I said that made you feel bad. About not wanting to be with you. I was so stupid. Can you forgive me?” “Of course. I’m always here for you, no matter what. You guys are stuck with me.” Hazel hugs her next, and then Max does, too. I’m surprised when Vi looks tentatively at Erik and then hugs him, too. “Thanks for sending Marcus to get me,” she says, looking like a little doll in his big arms.

Jenna was sentenced to four years in prison for kidnapping Vi. But it’s her poor choices that brought them full circle. Vi clung to Allie for the first couple months after she returned home, afraid to be out of sight. They get their HEA.

Erik “Easy” Zimmerman has to head to Emery, Wisconsin during the summer break to take care of his aunt and mother. He never planned to return to his childhood home but he can’t say no to his mother. Once he lays eyes on his high school sweetheart again everything changes. It is like they never broke up and the feelings are all still there.

I loved Erik and Allie’s story! I am a sucker for a good second chance romance, especially if it is a hockey one. Allie has spent 10 years raising her nieces and nephew alone. She has no time for love but when Erik comes back to town that changes. She realizes she never stopped loving him and that they might actually make it work now. I really loved how hardworking and caring Allie was. She made a great mom to her nieces and nephew. I loved how she planned out their relationship and how they would make it work with three teenagers.

Erik was surprisingly sweet and protective. I loved how he instantly included the kids in everything and never imagined her without them. He was great stepdad material. Also, I love how he was willing to give up his career for a chance to be with Allie again. You could just always feel the love and emotion between these two. They were just a great couple!

The kids were great side characters in this one. I loved how different they all were and that Hazel was the hockey player and not her brother. The situation with their real mother was terrifying and I know I would have been just as worried as Allie had been. Rothert always does a great job at writing these terrifying and sad situations in her books, whether it is dying of cancer or child kidnapping, it's always so well written.

Overall, I think this is my favorite book from this series so far. I loved every minute of it and all the characters were just amazing.

Trigger Warning:
- Parental kidnapping

Easy and Allie

What can I say. Brenda, your way of making me fall in love with your characters is like no other.

I mean how can you not fall in love with Easy. Tough on the outside but yet so soft on the inside. Dropping everything to go back to his hometown to take care of his mother and aunt who both have injured themselves......sweet right.
Not having been back for many years for one reason, one reason only. Allie. His high school sweetheart. Following his dream to become a hockey star he left her and everyone else behind.......

Allie, the teenager who became a mom over night. Who can’t help but have respect for her. Giving up everything she dreamed of. That dream included Easy. Her high school boyfriend. But with no other choice she lets go of a future with him and put her own life on hold for her family.

Living in a small town it is inevitable that they will run into each other. How will they react when they see each other again.....

A heartwarming, sexy, sweet story. Two people so much in love, separated by unforeseen circumstances, brought together by what I would call “faith”.
Absolutely loved it. A definite recommend......and five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Six books in to this series and I don't think I could admit to loving them all. But there we go. Great group of men on the Blaze team. This book doesn't have much hockey time in it--it's off season. But we get a great second chance romance with lots of heart and that more than makes up for the lack of sports.

Erik and Allie grew up in small town Wisconsin. They meant the world to each other. They had plans. But Allie's world shatters and she suddenly in guardian for her nieces and nephew at age 18 and she chooses to love Erik enough and let him go on to college and the NHL. Their hearts continued to be entwined for 10 years. Neither would admit it. But Erik having to help his Mom for the summer, forces the two together.

I loved that they quickly worked through the awkwardness between them and realize that the spark in their hearts is still there. Great secondary characters. A bit of suspense/drama. Pee-wee hockey and Erik's teammates showing their love and support as well.

All around a great book!

Brenda Rothert lights the lamp with Easy (Chicago Blaze Hockey). In this story, hockey star Eric Zimmerman (aka EZ/Easy) goes home to Greentree Falls, Wisconsin after avoiding it for ten years. He inevitably runs into the girl who broke his heart; the girl whom he never stopped loving, Allie Douglas. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

Brenda Rothert does a great job getting you in the character’s heads. It had me pretty much experiencing every emotion. Eric is a good guy. He is a great son/nephew. I like that his perspective changed about his breakup with Allie. Allie is an amazing heroine. She is selfless and caring. She had to grow up early after her parents died. She is the opposite of her sister, Jenna, who added some interesting drama to the story.

Easy is a wonderful addition to the Chicago Blaze series. I love that some of Eric’s teammates came to Greentree Falls to help celebrate his birthday. I am looking forward to reading Jonah’s story next. I recommend this book to people who enjoy second chance sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Easy is the most amazing second chance romance with characters that will tug at your heartstrings! I loved everything about this beautiful story! Just everything!
The drama, the family tension, the beautiful friendships ans suspense all made this an incredible book that should be high on your list to read!
Easy may be easy on the eyes but since he gets a call to go home to look after his Mom and Aunt, he doesn’t count on how after the many years that have passed to see Allie again and the feelings that have remained dorment, bubble to the surface! Erik is a caring man with a heart of gold! Allie has done her absolute best at caring for the 3 kids! Little does she know that Erik is determined and not wanting to let things go and is also there to support her in difficult times too!
This storyline had me captivated from the beginning and I honestly didn’t want it to end!
An absolutely amazing addition to one of the best hockey series written!

Four and a Half Stars ⭐️
Easy is Book 6 of Brenda Rothert’s Chicago Blaze series and what a deliciously sweet read it is. Lord knows I love hockey romances and lately I’ve developed a thing for second chance romances as well - This book was the best of both worlds. Erik and Allie were high school sweethearts who loved each other immensely. Unfortunately life happened and the two were forced to go their separate ways. Ten years later the two meet again and neither one can resist the pull that is between them. I loved how they acknowledged their feelings and didn’t try to hide it. Their love never died, it always existed and with the passing of time just grew stronger. Not willing to be a part, they work hard at getting their happily ever after and securing a blissful fut. TBR and enjoy.

This is a wonderful, heartwarming story about love and second chances. I think a lot of people can relate to that from life experiences. I absolutely love this series from Brenda Rothert. She is such a talented writer emitting so many emotions from her readers. I feel like I am in the setting of her stories and I get all of the feels from the characters. At one point, I wanted to b***ch slap Jenna so much which shows how deeply the author makes her readers feel emotions!
Another thought I had about her series that would be so neat if it could be included in her next book is a “series family tree” with a very short synopsis of each of their love stories.

This book had a sweet tone about it. Once Erik and Allie started to talk again they were all in, it was just figuring out how to work things out so that they could be together. I liked that they talked to the kids about their future and made a decision together and a family. And as with all family's there is that one person that pulls everyone down and sadly for these guys it was Jenna, who was a POS. I don't feel a bit bad with what happened to her, only glad that there was no collateral damage. The ending to this one had me smiling, nice to see Erik and Allie get their HEA, even if it took them 10 years.

I LOVE me a second chance romance and Allie and Erik BROUGHT IT!

There's nothing I don't love about the Blaze and this series, but this couple had me rooting extra hard for their HEA. I love the small-town, unique family situation setting and this high chemistry couple getting their shot at the love neither of them left behind, even after a decade.

If you haven't started this series yet, get on it!

I’ll confess that of all the members of the Chicago Blaze, I wasn’t really looking forward to Easy’s story. Man, did this book prove me wrong. It was a beautiful second chance romance with lots of layers. I absolutely adored this book and could not put it down!

Téma znovuobnovení lásky, návrat po letech není můj zrovna oblíbený. V tomto případě to bylo roztomilé, pěkné čtení 😊

I read this 6 star story in one sitting. I started it and couldn’t seem to be able to put down until the end.

Erik and Allie get the second chance they deserve after 10 years of being apart. This is an hockey, second chance romance.

Beautifully written with an addictive storyline that sucked me in the heart of these amazing characters. This heartfelt story attached itself to my heart. Selfless characters that were perfectly created. Bottomline this is a must read.

Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story. This story is part of a series but all standalones.

4 Sterne.
