Now through Christmas Eve, Utahns can see free holiday movies at participating Larry h. Miller Megaplex theaters.

The free movies will be offered as part of food and toy drives to benefit the Utah Food Bank and Toys for Tots. Those who wish to participate can bring a food or toy donation to a participating theater, and receive a coupon booklet that includes a punch card to redeemable for admission to eight Christmas classics between now and Christmas Eve.

The Megaplex Classics movie pass will admit up to six guests from the same household, in order to comply with CDC health guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic.

"Due to the changing nature of the Covid-19 pandemic, Megaplex Theatres reserves the right to modify or cancel this promotion at any time," the company stated in a media release.

Auditorium capacity is limited and a pass does not guarantee you a seat at any film screening, the company noted.

Movie screenings will include:

  • The Grinch (2018) from now until Dec. 3
  • White Christmas (1954) from now until Dec. 3
  • A Christmas Story (1983) from Dec. 6 to Dec 10
  • Christmas Vacation (1989) from Dec. 6 to Dec. 10
  • Elf (2003) from Dec. 13 to Dec. 17
  • The Polar Express (2004) from Dec. 13 to Dec. 17
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) from Dec. 20 to Dec. 24
  • It's a Wonderful Life (1947) from Dec. 20 to Dec. 24
