Tenshon is excitedly launching an outstanding Shade Sail Design Challenge Scholarship. This new scholarship opportunity is for students who would like to be rewarded for putting their brains to work. This challenge is for college students everywhere, who are interested in the fields of architecture, design, and/or engineering to create a unique shade sail structure using the standard sized shade sails.

The purpose of this scholarship design contest is to ultimately expand students’ minds to the possibilities found in the tensile fabric industry and reward the stand-out students who best display an aptitude for shade sail design. It encourages creative students to do better in their careers. The firm aims to give a platform to the students who are highly innovative and interested in flaunting their skills. The program provides considerable financial support to the students in completing their education.

Tenshon has manufactured and installed hundreds of shade sails in Arizona over the past decade. They have customers in every city, including Mesa, Gilbert, Phoenix, Chandler, Tempe, Scottsdale, Ahwatukee, Queen Creek, Payson, Heber, and more. We serve residential, as well as many commercial customers like EVO Swim School, Harkins Theaters, and Fulton Home. Who May Be Eligible?

Do you find this program interesting? If yes, then check the requirement to ensure about your eligibility:

  • College students everywhere, who are interested in the fields of architecture, design, and/or engineering to create a unique shade sail structure using the standard sized shade sails are eligible.
  • Candidates should be creative.

How to Apply

Only the eligible candidates should begin with the application process. Fellows should locate their standard sized shade sails. Using the standard shade sails, applicants need to create a unique design of their own that they think will stand out among the rest! Using Sketchup, send your design to scholarship@tenshon.com. Only Sketchup files will be accepted do not send a JPG or TIFF snapshot of your creation. The subject line of your email must include your first name, last name, and the name of your college. No late submissions will be accepted.

  • The design should be submitted, considering all the guidelines.

Benefits

Selected students will receive an amount of $1500. This amount should be used to pay the expenses that are related to the candidate’s education. Candidates can pay their tuition, textbooks or other verified costs. This program aims to bring out the best creative side of the people. It motivates the students to do better in their careers and achieve their academic goals.

Application Deadline

Applications should be submitted before December 15, 2020. Late or incomplete applications will not be entertained. The design should be according to firm standards.
