Thank you for your interest in applying for a Girl Governance role for GSEP!About the GIRL ADVISOR role:
Each year, three girls are selected as Girl Advisors to GSEP’s Board of Directors. Girl Advisors hold seats at the table during meetings of the Board of Directors, where they provide girl insight and perspective on important matters. Girl Advisors attend five Board Meetings per year at the Shelly Ridge Service Center, which last approximately two hours in the evening.
About the GIRL DELEGATE role:
30 girls are selected as Girl Delegates to represent the more than 35,000 Girl Scouts in GSEP’s nine-county footprint. Girl Delegates weigh-in on important issues at Delegate Meetings and vote on new policies and procedures and new Board members at GSEP’s Annual Meeting. Girl Delegates attend two Delegate Meetings per year, held in the evening for two hours in the fall and spring. Girl Delegates also attend the Annual Meeting, held on a Saturday in early May.
All girls interested in applying for either the position of Girl Advisor to the Board of Directors or Girl Delegate should complete this application and provide the appropriate number of references for the position (1 reference for Girl Delegate; 2 references are required to apply for the Girl Advisor position). All applications must be received by Friday, January 22, 2021. Please be sure to reach out to your references as soon as possible so they can meet the deadline of January 22 also! You may be contacted for an interview or additional information after your application is received.
