Karen Fletcher

As a former owner and director of an Asian consultancy, she has firsthand knowledge of corporate practices and procedures in many of the regions’ jurisdictions. She works closely with the Asia Pacific leadership team to meet client’s requirements, maintain the highest level of professional staff, and manage the overall operations of the regional business.

She is a Chartered Structural Engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Her contractor-based experience includes detailed steelwork design as well as project, contract and site management roles on numerous large scale construction projects. Karen also has several years of experience dealing with contract claims and dispute resolution procedures in the building, energy, and infrastructure sectors and is thus well placed to assess the requirements of Ankura’s construction clients on matters involving quantum and delay.

Karen has edited technical papers and quarterly industry publications as well as authored corporate brochures and publications. She has spearheaded the organization of numerous international conferences and coordinates in-house training programmes for clients on topics such as commercial awareness, claims management, and methods of delay analysis.

She has been an active member and office bearer of the Society of Construction Law (Singapore) for over a decade.
