Hold the Keys to Bull Reproductive Success

Angus University to hold educational event at Cattlemen’s Congress.

Breeding season is an imperative time for cattlemen and women, and you need your bulls performing at their best. Angus University will host an educational session about bull reproductive success during Cattlemen’s Congress at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 9 a.m. in the Super Barn Sale Arena. This session will provide attendees with key concepts to ensuring bulls service their herd as efficiently as possible.

“With bull buying season on the horizon, making the purchase is just the first step,” said Mark McCully, American Angus Association chief executive officer. “We’re excited to provide education from an industry expert to seedstock and commercial cattlemen alike to ensure those bulls remain healthy and fertile once they enter your pastures.”

The one-hour event will feature Dr. Randall Spare, president of Ashland Veterinary Center, Inc., who will share best management practices to maintain bull fertility. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions during a social session following the presentations at the Angus booth.

“Last year’s session about bull buying strategies provided attendees with answers to their biggest bull buying questions and the ability to select bulls with confidence,” McCully said. “We’re looking forward to building upon that concept and help breeders achieve optimal bull reproductive success.”

As important as knowing your bull buying strategy is, holding the keys to bull reproductive success ensures your investment stands the test of time. Angus University is the source for industry-leading education. Can’t make it to Oklahoma City for the education session?
