"I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study."
-Ezra Cornell, 1868

At Cornell University, students from all walks of life come together to create a collaborative community like no other. The diversity of cultural, geographic, and socio-economic backgrounds ensures that you'll be exposed to a wide range of perspectives and ideas. As New York state’s land-grant institution — the only such institution in the Ivy League — Cornell is charged with advancing the lives and livelihoods of the state’s citizens through teaching, research, and public service. By joining this community, you join a network of Cornellians that spans the globe. No matter what you hope to achieve, Cornell will help you get there.

A Cornell Story

Bradley Verhelle '24 always had an interest in the arts but discovered alternative process photography and more at Cornell. Now a darkroom monitor and exhibit designer in the library system, Bradley keenly understands how studying art at a research institution informs and enhances his art education. When he's not in the classroom or working with new students, he's enjoying Cornell's beautiful campus with his canine companion, Sprocket.
