ABC News’ “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (907,000), Adults 25-54 (281,000) and Adults 18-49 (281,000) for the 4th consecutive week during the week of June 13, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.
For the 3rd week in a row, “Nightline” improved on the year-ago week across the board: Total Viewers (+15% - 907,000 vs. 791,000), Adults 25-54 (+37% - 281,000 vs. 222,000) and Adults 18-49 (+32% - 217,000 vs. 164,000).
Season to date, “Nightline” is beating CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for the 7th consecutive year — since the 2015-2016 season.
This week, “Nightline” covered Sandy Hook survivors looking back 10 years later; teachers rallying against gun violence; Hunter Biden’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, on being a Biden, divorce and cancer; expectant Black mothers finding support with doulas and midwives; the new documentary, “Leave No Trace,” about the Boy Scouts sexual abuse scandal; soaring inflation hitting homes for Americans; LGBTQ+ online communities offering support and acceptance; the Jan. 6 hearings focused on former Vice President Mike Pence; Black musicians reclaiming the rights to their own music; and the family of Elvis and all-star cast on the new cinematic drama, “Elvis.”
NOTE: On Friday (6/10/22), CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” was retitled to “Late Late Show-JC—ENC,” and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” was retitled to “Seth Meyers-SM.” The retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. CBS’ and NBC’s averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
