Give today to help families when crisis strikes

When crisis strikes, United Way is there to help. Our Crisis and Recovery Fund is in place to offer quick relief to families when a widespread crisis hits our region.

In the summer of 2021, storms and heavy rainfall in Wayne and Oakland counties flooded tens of thousands of homes and resulted in nearly 40,000 people losing power. As families dealt with the loss of appliances, treasured memories and family spaces, they faced the enormous cost and effort necessary to clean and rebuild.

In response to this flooding, we launched the United Way Crisis and Recovery Fund. Our efforts helped families get by and stay healthy and safe as they recovered. This fund remains in place, ready to be activated the next time it’s needed.

We know the power of coming together to take care of each other in times of crisis. Through this fund, United Way is working to ensure that whenever disaster strikes, families and front-line organizations have a place to turn for immediate support and recovery. Your support help makes this possible. Please give today.
