Hey Wildcats!

I hope this message finds you well, as we embark on another exciting year at the University of Kentucky. My name is Lizzy Hornung, and I am honored to serve as your Student Body President. Together, we have the power to shape our university experience and create lasting traditions that will define our time here.

​

UKSGA’s mission is to ensure that all students are represented, advocated for, and feel a sense of belonging at the University of Kentucky. SGA strives to bolster our services to benefit all students and to improve daily life for every single student. 

​

We encourage you to check out our website to learn more about the services we have to offer. We have numerous funding opportunities for student organizations as well as for individual students. We offer free professional clothing through the Wildcat Wardrobe, free parking coupons, legal services, Headspace vouchers, and so much more. All students are entitled to these services, so we encourage you to take advantage of them!

Additionally, I encourage you to get involved! UKSGA has lots of ways students can be an active member of our organization. This can be through applying for an executive team position, running in an election, being a coordinator, joining our Leadership Development Program, and more, so there’s no shortage of ways to get your foot in the door. We have so many outstanding members that work tirelessly for our students, and we always welcome new people & new perspectives.

In the coming year, let us work hand in hand to make our university experience exceptional. I encourage you to get involved, join student organizations, voice your opinions, and embrace the opportunities that await you. Together, we can build a legacy that future Wildcats will be proud to inherit and make equitable change for all. 

 

I am excited about the incredible journey that lies ahead of us, and I am grateful for the privilege to serve as your Student Body President. Let us forge new traditions, empower our collective voice, and make our student experience at the University of Kentucky truly unforgettable.
