Loyola University has taken the reins to continue this tradition launched in 1974 out of the encouragement of Vatican II, to bring understanding and study of Scripture into the forefront of a wider Catholic audience.

• Location will alternate between Loyola Campus in Chicago to traditional University of St. Mary of the Lake grounds in Mundelein.
• A slightly shorter event, Tuesday or Wednesday to Saturday

Every evening includes a lecture, Night Prayer and Social (a Summer Scripture signature offering!) as well as a bilingual (English & Spanish) closing Mass for IPS Scripture School / Escuela de Sagrada Escritura Graduation: Saturday, June 8, 5:00 PM with reception to follow. Mornings begin with Morning Prayer, breakfast and 2 lectures. We hope you will stay on campus to enjoy the full experience of Summer Scripture! The multiple sleeping room options, reasonably priced all include the 17.4% Chicago tax.

On-Campus Lodging Information For Summer Scripture at Loyola Lake Shore Campus

There will be 2 building options for overnight stay available to Summer Scripture attendees, Santa Clara and Francis Hall.

Most of the presentations will be in McCormick Lounge located in Coffee Hall. Socials will be in Mundelein/Palm Court. Liturgies will be at Madonna della Strada Chapel.

Santa Clara Options (located right on Lake Michigan!) – 3 Options

All options include ability to share a bedroom or apartment, however only one person can register for the apartment and pays in full for all companions.

#2) 2 Bedroom (1 bed each)/2 Bath Apartment 1-2 guests $257.10/night ($128.55 each if split between 2 people)

    Floor has Common Area for Living Space and Kitchen – the Floor will be exclusive to Summer Scripture guests in Francis Hall
