3.29.2024 I wrote this song end of March 2020, and I had a lot of thoughts going through my mind as I wrote it. I could feel that something major was shifting in my life, but I could also sense that I would have to go through a great deal of loss to move through it. I'd like to report that I'm through every piece of grief, but letting go is a part of life. The only way to move forward towards what is meant for us is to let go of what's familiar and go into the unknown. Let go of what no longer aligns with who we are and make room for who we want to keep becoming. This song for me captures my personal transition that started back then, and I can't think of any other song I've written to date that captures what it's feels like to grieve more than this one.
