Ērān Tūrān Hrōm

Ērān Tūrān Hrōm is a project aiming to bring together scholars of various discipline concerned with the study of the first millennium or late antique Central and West Asia and the Mediterranean zone, and even the wider Afro-Eurasian world (including East Asia and Africa). The project is envisioned as a focus for networks of scholars and exchange of research ideas, directions, and concerns in the field of Late Antiquity. The organisers of Ērān Tūrān Hrōm come from different, but complementary fields of Global history, Sasanian history, Byzantine history, and Late Antique studies and hope to create an environment to create connections across a wide field.

The initial activity of the project is organising a series of research forums under the general title of Ērān Tūrān Hrōm where junior and senior scholars come together to learn and exchange ideas. The first of these Forums is the Ērān Forum at the University of Lille (France), 15-19 July 2024. You can view the Forum’s Call for Participants and the Programme, as well as any developments at Updates Log. You can read more about our logo on the About page.
