No. 1 Miami Country Day cruised to its sixth consecutive Florida state championship. No. 2 St. John's College won its fourth straight District of Columbia title. No. 4 Centennial won its fifth straight Nevada state title. No. 19 Amarillo repeated in Texas.

Champs held tight to their crowns and held their ground in the espnW 25 Power Rankings for Week 13.

State tournaments continue in several states, including California, where the high school career of No. 1 prospect Haley Jones came to an end when Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, California) fell to Salesian (Richmond, California) in the CIF NorCal regional semifinals. Jones, a McDonald's All American, had 19 points and 12 rebounds in her final game. The Stanford recruit had 2,126 career points and 1,058 career rebounds in her Mitty career.
