Hi, i’m betsy.
Taking my bow in my Broadway show & Juliet is a moment I’ll never take for granted. I know what it takes to get to this moment and also have perspective on what moments along the journey matter most! & Juliet is my 8th Broadway show and I’m grateful, but also I prepared for this moment.
I’ve also sung as a soloist with 60 major symphony orchestras all over the world, premiered 2 movies in 2020, went to a top theatre conservatory, have been on 9 OBC recordings, made my Carnegie Hall debut at age 20, and every night I recognize the 15 year old Betsy who only dreamt of one day being on Broadway.
This is also me at the end of a work session with one of our BroadwayEvolved students, Riley, who was experiencing a major breakthrough. I am so, so very proud of both of these “moments”. I’m living my lifelong dream working as an artist on Broadway (it’s possible parents!) and I’m passing on what I’ve learned to the next generation. Helping you be a better you.
So you’re probably asking yourself…
What do I need to do to be on Broadway?
After 2500 stage doors, masterclasses, and college programs later, I’ve been asked this one question over and over again.
Here’s my answer, you’re not gonna like it.
The path to “success” on Broadway is NOT linear, and definitely not one size fits all. It’s an outdated belief that if you “go to this top school, enroll in this program” you’ll “make it”. I want to help you zoom out and understand the vital component of acquiring, early on, the life skills you need as an individual to thrive in every environment.
