Hi there, in this video, we’re going to cover how to launch Adobe Asset Link from your favorite Creative Cloud desktop application. Before we get started, let’s take a quick look at what Adobe Asset Link is. Creatives and marketers often need to work together to create high quality content for an organization’s marketing channel. Inefficient collaboration between them can slow down the most sophisticated systems with email driven workflows, duplicate files and scattered content. Adobe provides a solution to this problem. With Adobe asset link extension, you can now integrate Adobe Experience Manager assets and your Creative Cloud solution. This integration provides a streamlined process for content creation and improves collaboration between marketers and creative users. using Adobe Asset Link helps to prevent content loss in communication channels like emails and shared folders. All the content is stored and processed within a AEM assets, a centralized location, thereby preventing content duplication. Setting up Adobe Asset Link is easy and does not require heavy IT maintenances.
Adobe Asset Link extension is now available for Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
So let’s get started and see how to launch Adobe Asset Link. Adobe Asset Link is available to your Adobe Creative Cloud applications like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as an extension. Make sure to download and install the latest version of the Creative Cloud desktop application.
Your organization’s IT administrator can configure and deploy Adobe Asset Link and also grant you the required permissions to access a AEM assets. Once installed and configured, you can open the Adobe Asset Link panel from the extensions menu in the Creative Cloud App. From the product top toolbar options, choose windows and then select extensions. From the extensions menu, select Adobe Asset Link panel. If everything looks good, you should be able to view the Adobe Asset Link panel open up within your application. To let creatives access digital assets stored in AEM assets, within the Creative Cloud application, we need to add the AEM environment in the Adobe Asset Link panel. To add an AEM environment you would require the AEM author instance URL for which you would like to gain access. Let’s provide a nickname and paste the environment URL for your AEM assets instance. Make sure to save your changes.
Upon successfully adding the environment to your Adobe Asset Link panel you should be able to view the AEM assets instance displayed within your panel. Click on the AEM assets environment and you should be able to view and edit all the assets stored within an organization’s AEM asset instance using Adobe Asset Link panel.
