The ULI Asia Pacific Technology & Innovation Conference showcased insights on incorporating technology in real estate portfolios and operations and enabled the attendees to explore the hottest trends in climate and construction technology. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated ULI South Korea Conference that took place the next day focused on the thriving life sciences and healthcare sector, connecting more than 250 attendees with industry experts.
ULI Greater Bay Area Chair James Wong, Chairman of Hon Kwok Land Investment, hosted a CEO lunch in Shenzhen on 9 June. Georgios Theodoropoulos, Fellow of the World Academy of Science and Arts and Chair Professor of Computer Science and Engineering from Southern University of Science and Technology, shared his research on AI and digital twin impact on real estate, invigorating the audiences with innovative possibilities.
ULI Hong Kong Unveils New Series of Workshops
ULI Hong Kong kicked off its newest series, Re-imagining the Building Code, for a sustainable high-rise typology in collaboration with The University of Hong Kong. The first workshop of the series “Environment and the Code” focused on five sub-themes: building form and orientation, natural ventilation and shading, recycling, renewable materials, and prefabrication.
The ULI India Young Leaders Group (YLG) got off to a great start with the ‘Unfiltered’ series - providing leadership dialogues between young leaders and seasoned industry professionals furthering our mission to educate the next generation of leaders.
The annual event brought together over 300 decisionmakers and a panel of 50 senior leaders to discuss market trends and strategies in commercial real estate amidst economic recovery. Held from 15 to 16 June, a range of timely topics and excellent networking opportunities were provided.
ULI Singapore named Chua Shi Jie, Faith Tan and Rica Teo as winners of the WLI Singapore Commendation Award 2023. The award recognises female graduands for their astuteness about the built environment as part of the mission of the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) to increase visibility and professional development opportunities for women in the industry.
