-- SCULPTURE --

Surrealist works in clay and metals, rooted in

humanist introspection and a persistent optimism

about our past, present, and future.

A human arm, augmented with TV antennas, supported in a brick.

 The 'Armature' Series

The hand and arm are at the core of this work as the most basic and essential of our human tools, the means by which we seek to remake ourselves and our world through bootstrap optimism on a tinkerer's workbench of aspiration.

The Human Figure

The human presence is a constant in my work, whether depicted directly, or in its absence by implication.  Allegorical rather than literal, these figures express the gap between intention and action. Incorporating the imagery of natural and human-engineered elements, they reflect on our goals, creations, and deeper realities.

 The Botanical Series

We live in a changing world, in quest of a sustainable balance between the world we make for ourselves and the environment that sustains us. The future lies in collaboration.
