These charming fingerless mitts are named after the Sweetbriar Nature Center on the Nissequogue River in Smithtown.  The Center provides natural science education services utilizing its 54 acres of gardens, fields, wetlands and woods.  The pattern on the palm of the hand is the Eye of Partridge, and the one on the back is the Honeycomb Cable; a little nod to the birds and bees you will see at Sweetbriar.
