This workshop series will enable you to gain insights and strategies for navigating challenging conversations in schools. The series includes scheduled live sessions with speakers from Facing History & Ourselves, Better Arguments Project, and Middle Ground School Solutions as well as asynchronous experiences such as virtual museum tours, videos and readings. The workshop will explore what makes conversations difficult, the opportunities they present, and the mindset and skills to lead them with better outcomes. The series is hosted by a Museum of Tolerance facilitator who creates space for dialogue and a supportive community to begin practicing the skills. Walk away with toolkits and teacher guides for pro-actively implementing conscious conversations with students and with adults in community contexts.(Certificates of completion are provided for 7.5 hours including synchronous and asynchronous learning).
