The W. Eugene Smith Fund supports photographers whose work follows the tradition of W. Eugene Smith’s humanistic photography and dedicated compassion evidenced during his 45-year career as a photographic essayist.

Join us for the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund’s Virtual Awards Ceremony! This free online event will take place over Zoom on March 26th at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time (US and Canada). The Awards Ceremony will feature the 2022 and 2023 W. Eugene Smith Grantees from around the world. Photographers Irina Werning, Myriam Boulos, Fabian Ritter, Oyewole Lawal, and Aliona Kardash will be presenting their projects. Additionally, 2022 grant recipients, Maxim Dondyuk, Taniya Sarkar, and Ta Mwe, will share updates on their impactful work.
