Mother Nature, Let's Do This

At Dogfish Head, we rely on the goodness of Mother Nature to provide us with the beautiful and bountiful culinary ingredients used in our off-centered beverages and dishes – from regeneratively grown Kernza to fruit grown right here in our backyard.

Now in its second year, our Mother Nature, Let’s Do This! rally cry is back with a whole new way of protecting (and celebrating!) this amazing planet we’re lucky to call home. Teaming up with partners like Igloo Coolers and Keep America Beautiful, we’re eager to continue our journey of learning more about environmental issues facing us globally and on a localized level, and just how we can all do our part. Let’s all Stand Up for Mother Nature.

What’s cooler than a perfectly cooled beer? Working with the team at Igloo! Delivering coolness to the world since 1947, Igloo continues to innovate products that keep refreshments cold and make every experience more enjoyable for all. Which is why we couldn’t be more proud to Stand Up for Mother Nature with Igloo and debut the limited-edition ECOCOOL Playmate Elite Cooler – made from post-consumer recycled materials! Crafted with recycled resin that saves discarded plastic yogurt cups and milk jugs from landfills and features flourishing nature-inspired artwork to bring you even closer to the environment as you explore the great outdoors with a cold one in hand.

We all know that we’re facing global environmental issues, but what can we do on a local level? Insert the Great American Cleanup! Celebrating its 24th year, the Great American Cleanup is Keep America Beautiful’s annual movement that unifies and beautifies communities across the country in a collective spring-cleaning.

In 2021 alone, the Great American Cleanup engaged hundreds of thousands of volunteers to have remarkable results – collecting over 14 million pounds of litter and debris and 8 million pounds of recycleables and cleaning almost 67,000 acres of parks, public lands, trails and playgrounds across the country.

And now, it’s your turn.

In our continuing effort to scale regenerative farming practices, we’ve partnered with our friends at Patagonia Provisions to launch Kernza® Pils, a distinctively crisp and refreshing German-style pilsner beer made with Kernza, a remarkable perennial grain that helps draw down carbon from the atmosphere and sequester it in the ground. Hitting shelves and taps now in select markets coast to coast, Kernza Pils is the most widely-distributed Kernza-based beer on the market and marks a significant shift towards a more climate-friendly brewing industry.
