Thanks to the generosity of 106 gifts during WVU Day of Giving 2024, the WVU School of Nursing raised more than $2.8 million. These funds will support program expansion, student scholarships, faculty development and much more.
The WVU School of Nursing offers accredited undergraduate and graduate level programs on five campuses and online.
The focus of West Virginia University School of Nursing's research is reducing health disparities among rural Appalachians. It is through this ongoing work with adults, families, and communities that WVU's nurse researchers are positively impacting the health of West Virginians.
This year's winners are Carmen Camino Falcon from the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences, Makenzie Holley from the College of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences and Paige Shafor from the WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus.
For students like me, who come from backgrounds where they really don’t have the financial support to attend college without scholarships, donations change lives. So, I hope (our donors) know that, and I hope they know that they’re greatly appreciated.
