March 16-22, 2024: Brisbane, Australia

Hans Kuhn assisted in building and operating the conference network for IETF 119 Brisbane at the Brisbane Convention Centre.

APRICOT 2024 Workshop

Feb 20-24, 2024: Bangkok, Thailand

Hervey Allen, Brian Candler, Bob Rotsted and Carlos Armas taught a Practical Virtualisation workshop at the APRICOT 2024 Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Pacific Network Operators Group met at the Fa'onelua Convention Centre. NSRC Engineer and Trainer Philip Smith co-taught a Routing Infrastructure and Security Operations Workshop with Neil Fenemore and Marika Qaloma from the University of the South Pacific.

SCinet 2023 Research Exposition Theater

Hervey Allen was part of the SC23 Network Research Exhibition and eXperimental Networks (NRE-XNet) team and helped to coordinate and run the new Research Exposition Theater next to the SCinet 2023 NOC.

I2 Technology Exchange

Sept 18-22: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC) and Internet2 sponsored two fellowships for Ravneel Sharma and Niumaia P. Tabunakawai from the University of the South Pacific to attend the Internet2 Technology Exchange, offering opportunities to exchange knowledge and expand their professional networks.

What's Next for NSRC

NSRC Network Architect Philip Smith will teach a Routing Infrastructure and Security Operations workshop from May 26-29 alongside Viraphan Samadi, AIT, and Thanapat Masnitas and Kittinan Sriprasert, both with BKNIX. THNIC Academy hosts the workshop prior to the BKNIX Peering Forum.

Experimental IPv6-only network at APRICOT 2024
During the 2024 Internet Network Operators Summit for the Asia Pacific region (APRICOT 2024) NSRC Systems Designer and Trainer Brian Candler configured and designed an IPv6-only wireless network as an alternative for people to try during the event. In this blog entry, Brian explains how this was done and what decisions were made.
