Hello Bluebird Stamps - Farmyard Little Bits

Welcome to my blog and a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps.  Today I've reached back in time to one of Hello Bluebird's very early stamp sets but one that remains a firm favourite with me, it's their Farmyard Little Bits set and I've made a simple birthday card idea to inspire you.  Here are links to what I've used:-

I took a panel of sturdy white cardstock and I masked a line above which I ink blended using Distress Oxide Inks.  The sky was blended using Salvaged Patina and then from the masked line upwards I used Crushed Olive then Mowed Lawn.  The masking tape was then carefully removed and I applied the panel to my card base.

I stamped the images from Farmyard Little Bits using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and I coloured with these Copic marker combinations:-

Cows - T6, T4, E02, R01, R00, R22, R20, C3, C1
Red - R59, R39, R29, R27
Hay - E44, E31, E51
Gift - G00, BG11

I die cut the images, then arranged and adhered the images with foam tape except for the red barn which for a little depth perception I glued directly.

I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen then popped the card in my Misti so that I could repeat stamp the sentiment for a bold and crisp image.

With that this project was done!  Thanks for reading my blog today, I'll be back very soon with something new.

My Favorite Things - You Give Me Butterflies - April Card Kit Release

Hello!   The You Give Me Butterflies April card kit from MFT Stamps is now available for purchase.  Today I'm sharing with you my second card (keep scrolling after this post to see what I shared yesterday using the kit.   Here's what I've used to make this CAS card:-

Such a simple card to make, I simply prepared two sturdy white A2 panels of cardstock.  One I adhered to my card base and with the other I die cut using the Peek-a-Boo Butterfly Die-namics.   I then carefully applied glue to the back of this die cut panel and adhered it to the other panel.

I found a 'rainbow' of colourful cardstock scraps and die cut the Peek-A-Boo Butterfly once from each scrap and I then selected piece by piece to form a rainbow effect and for added interest I made the butterfly's body and a couple of areas of the wing tips a glittered silver cardstock.   I carefully glued the little sections through the openings.

I stamped the sentiment with black ink in my Misti so that I could repeat stamp for a perfect image and with that this CAS card was done!

My Favorite Things - 'You Give Me Butterflies' April Card Kit Preview

Hello and welcome to a preview of the new You Give Me Butterflies April card kit from MFT Stamps. You can buy the kit tomorrow, April 23rd at 10am Eastern.  Here's what I've used to make this simple CAS card:-

I prepped an A2 panel of the patterned cardstock and another in a sturdy white cardstock.  I used the Breakthrough Butterflies Die-namics to die cut the white panel.

I applied glue to the reverse of the of the white die-cut panel and adhered it to the Sweet Summer Color Blends panel which in turn was adhered to a prepared card base.

I chose a sentiment from the You Give Me Butterflies stamp set and stamped it with Versamark Ink and embossed in silver.

I added 3 colour matching jewel embellishments to the centre of each butterfly as the finishing touch.  Without a doubt this is a design that you can mass produce very easily and maybe gift in boxed sets to a loved one.

My Favorite Things - You Rescued Me

Today I'm sharing my final card for the March release by MFT Stamps for which I was overseas for but am now all caught up!  Here's what I used to make this mini card:-

You Rescued Me
You Rescued Me Die-namics
Stitched Eyelet Lace Circle Die-namics

There's something so sweet and pleasing about a mini card and to create this one I die cut sturdy white cardstock twice using the Lace Circle Die-namics.  I scored the top of one of the die cuts and then added scor-pal tape to the tiny section I'd created and adhered it to the other die cut circle.

I grabbed some pastel Distress Oxide Inks and a small blended tool and softly blended a little rainbow of colour along a masked line which I then removed the tape from.   I popped the card in my Misti and stamped the sentiment.

I stamped the images from You Rescued Me illustrated by Jenoblade.  For this I used Memento Ink in my favourite shade of Rich Cocoa.  I coloured the images using the following Copic marker combinations:-

Pup (left) - E37, E99, E15, E13, E11, C3, C1, C0
Pup (right) - E50, E51, T2, T1
Basket - E37, E99, E13, E11
Pink - R22, R20, R00
Bone - E44, E42, E41

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and I added polka dots to the basket and I die cut using the coordinating Die-namics.

The images were applied to the background using dimensional foam tape and a few sparkling clear sequins completed the scene.

My Favorite Things - April Jenoblade Release

It's release day at MFT Stamps for the Jenoblade illustrated stamp sets we've been previewing.  Shop early to avoid disappointment!  Here's what I've used to create this second project for the release:-

A2 Stitched Rectangles Stax Set 2 Die-namics

As I usually do, I started with my background which I ink blended using Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks.  I die cut the panel using the Stax Die-namics (largest die from that set) and then stamped the sentiment and backed the panel with white craft foam and glued it to an A2 white panel of cardstock, then to the card base.

Using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa I stamped the images from Hoppin' Good Time.  I then had fun colouring everything using the following Copic marker combinations:-

Frogs - YG45, YG41, G40
Rocks - E31, W4, W2, W0
Water - B41, B91, C00
Yellow - Y21, E51, Y0000
Pink - R22, R20, R00

The images were die cut and applied to the scene with foam tape except for the rock/water background scene which I glued directly.

To finish things off, I simply highlighted with a white gel pen and then used my Memento Dual Marker in Rich Cocoa to add the whoosh marks under the hopping frogs.

My Favorite Things - April Jenoblade Release Preview

Today at MFT Stamps we are previewing a brand new release of Jenoblade illustrated stamps and coordinating Die-namics.  You will be able to buy this release at 10am Eastern tomorrow, April 16th.  Here's what I've used to make this first project:-

A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics

I kicked things off with an ink blended background.  I used the ink sparingly for the sky and blended with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink and to create the minty coloured grass I did a combination of Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio.

I stamped the sentiment in the corner using my Misti so that I could repeat stamp for a perfect image and then I framed out this panel with a frame that was die cut using the largest size frame option from A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics.  This was applied popped up on dimensional foam tape.

I used Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa to stamp the images I'd be using from Tweet Friend.  I then coloured the images using the following Copic colour combinations:-

Birdies - Y21, YR30, Y0000, T2, T1, YR07
Greenery - YG45, YG41, YG06
Pink - R22, R20, R00, R0000
Purple - BV13, BV02
Birdbath - W4, W3, W2, W1, B91
Birdhouse - C3, C1, C0, BG70, W4, W2, W0

Images were die cut using the coordinating Die-namics and then applied to the scene using more foam tape.

I used a white gel pen to highlight some points and decided to keep this one super simple but very tweet with no other embellishments needed.
