2 Books in 2021

My friend David made this great graphic to go with my YA mystery Death at Little Mound. Isn't it great? Also great is that readers seem to like this, Book 1 of my Linda Tassel Mysteries series. It has been listed in both 2022Mystery and Young Adult awards. I'll keep you posted!

With November came the publication of Book 3 of my American Civil War Brides series, Ursula's Inheritance. This one came about by popular demand! Readers wanted to know what happened next in Ursula's story. And... will her young marriage to Irish-Canadian Union soldier Rowan Buckley survive the war? I hope they are pleased with the results.

As we come to the end of another year of stress and strife, I hope for health and happiness to you and yours in 2022, dear readers.

Hope you are all well and getting through these tumultuous times.

Those of you who know my work know that I look for history in the footnotes for my stories.  I have a profound appreciation for those who have come before, who have made my life possible. Most of our ancestors have been left out of history... people of color, immigrants, women. Fiction fills some of those gaps. I hope you'll enjoy my latest release, Mercies of the Fallen.

New Series, New Novel!

I'm so excited to announce a new series: American Civil War Brides and it's debut novel: Seven Aprils.  It's coming out April 7th, 2019  proving my dear editors at BWL are both savvy and have a good sense of humor!  

I hope readers will enjoy Tess's story and seven year odyssey though a tumultuous time in American history.  I'm celebrating with contests and a book tour.

Daphne du Maurier Award

I'm delighted that Watch Over Me, Book 2 of my Code Talker Chronicles, has been nominated for a Daphne du Maurier Award!  The award is given by the Kiss of Death Chapter of Romance Writers of America.  It honors Romantic Suspense /Mystery novels.

It's named for the famed 20th century novelist Dame Daphne du Maurier, author of Jamaica Inn, My Cousin Rachel, Rebecca, and The Birds.  What stories!  They have been adapted into movies and TV series many times became they hold up and readers love them.  Here is Dame Daphne in her youth...
