The Transcendence Orchestra was devised by Anthony Child & Daniel Bean as an implement for the transformation of consciousness.
To celebrate the release of their album Modern Methods For Ancient Rituals on Editions Mego on the 15th December, you are invited to witness an improvised set of transmutational frequencies and ecstatic sequences.
For this event Anthony Child and Daniel Bean are very pleased to be joined by Paddy Shine from Gnod, who will participate in administering The Transcendence Orchestra rituals.
Adept at creating an atmosphere of transcendence, her music unites and reinterprets a mixture of familiar and more esoteric points of reference. These include the devotional cadences of Alice Coltrane and the rhythm as melody experiments of Steve Reich. Johnson is a former guitarist with 90s punk group Huggy Bear and a long-term co-organiser of London’s Bleep43 events and label. Her debut LP Weaving was released on Further Records in 2014.
