    • Methelis ButterflyMarlene Methelis Memorial Art Scholarship – Eligible- Interest in Fine Arts. Open Now – Online Application Deadline: March 15, 2024.   The parents of Marlene Methelis, Marjorie and Alan Methelis established a scholarship in loving memory of their daughter Marlene who tragically lost her life in an automobile accident. This award, in Marlene’s memory, is being offered to Broward County graduating seniors whose post-secondary plans include furthering their education in the areas of Fine Arts: photography, sculpting, ceramics, fashion design, painting and drawing as well as graphical arts.

    •  Sprouting Scholar Award Application Sprouting Scholar Award Application – Eligible- Financial Need Open Now – Online Application Deadline: April 1, 2024  The Sprouting Scholar Award is a scholarship created for those who possess the academic capabilities to be exceptional students. Education has multiple avenues, many that have yet to be explored by current graduating high school seniors. This scholarship is given on the premise that the Sprouting Scholar has yet to reach their peak academic potential or greatest educational achievement. This award is a reminder that there is a community of people hoping to see you sprout into a harvest of knowledge for others to reap. 



    • Alexis J. Marion Memorial Scholarship –  Eligible- Deerfield Beach High School students.  Open Now – Online Application Deadline: April 1, 2024.
      Alexis’ family will award a $1,000 scholarship in her memory, to a graduating Deerfield Beach High School senior. The candidate should be an individual who has overcome adversity and who shares a passion and inspiration for life and for making the world a better place- just as Alexis did. The candidate should be a college bound student of good moral character with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The scholarship is established for someone who will go forward and live a full and rewarding life and who will always remember to be a kind and humble leader who makes everyone around them feel like they are important and special. Candidates who choose to follow a path in social work, mental health, criminal justice, and/or political science will be given priority. The award will be given upon graduation.

      • The Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship provides high-performing community college students with up to $55,000 per year to complete their bachelor’s degree upon transferring to a four-year college or university. Cooke Transfer Scholars also receive educational advising and support as they transfer to their new campus and join the Cooke Scholar network.


      • Self Help Credit Union Community ScholarshipFPL Robotics ScholarshipThe NextEra Energy Foundation is proud to provide a scholarship opportunity to reward FIRST® students whose experience has inspired their interest in an engineering or information management career. One $5,000, renewable scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who has two or more years in an FTC or FRC program in FPL’s service area. A weighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required to apply and students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to renew each year, up to $20,000. Before the award is paid out, the winning student must be accepted to an accredited four-year college or university majoring in information science (or related field) or engineering.
