First things first. This ends in a cliffhanger. Now that you know you will need to read the next book, let me tell you....This book was fun! I loved Penny, who came off as being klutzy. She had some things to overcome. It was interesting that her family did seem to support her in pursuing what she loved or in being a Royal Guard. That caused Sebastian and Penny to have a lot in common. I didn't like her ex, Robert, or her brother Michael. The story was fun, funny, and yet had a sense of intrigue and mystery. The way the book ended was jaw dropping. Looking forward to the next installment. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advance Reader Copy.

To Start- there is a Cliff-Hanger. I HATE cliff hangers. But man, was this a fun book! I Loved that our protagonist is a member of the royal guard and she's also an artist. Ms Malone doesn't make her, or us, pick one thing for one- dimension only. This is a real person. There's plenty of other reviews, so... I'm just going to say it would have gotten 4 stars out of me if it wasn't a cliff hanger. And no, I'm not gonna change my mind, just let us know up front!

This is a very cute, charming and sweet, yet sexy story. You can't help but feel for Penny as she struggles to find love & acceptance, while at the same time, trying to love & be herself. It was no small amount of pride I felt for her that she kept at it - being herself - and stood up for herself, especially when it counted. I swooned every time she & Sebastian interacted, touched, kissed... The suspense angle of the plot is well-crafted, with no real idea of who's the real villain in this story. And just like Nana Malone likes to do, she's given us an interesting story that has us chomping at the bit to see it play out to its fullest, and I, for one, cannot wait. Grab yourself copies of Cheeky Prince & Cheeky Royal and enjoy the ride! I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
