Saint or Sinner?

M. Robinson has done it again with El Santo.

Every time I pick up one of her books I tell myself that this is the time that she isn't going to mess with my head and my emotions.

Nope. She did it again!

After we very quickly met Damien in the end of El Diablo, I was expecting the story to be something else. However the story she has given us was so completely different, and so completely amazing.

Damien really is a man we should hate, should despise him actually. But I couldn't do it. As the story progresses, there are so many things that are wrong, however he does so much right.

I don't want to give too much away about the love interest in this story, but believe me, it will surprise you who they are.

I was anxious the whole time I was reading El Santo. I couldn't help it. I knew that Ms Robinson was going to mess with me, There is a reason she is known by her readers as the "Queen of Angst". I believe the new term for her is also #Soulsucker - both titles are well deserved.

El Santo does end on a cliffhanger, however nobody does a cliffhanger like M. Robinson. Even though I was tapping on my kindle, looking for more pages, it didn't bother me that it was cliffied. And we only have a couple of months to wait for the next installment!

If you are after a read that will have you on the edge of your seat, that will have you pulling your hair out, that will have you yelling at your Kindle - read El Santo.

Can't wait for part 2.

Damien knew the minute he saw her he would do anything to save her, he would keep her safe that he promised her. He never knew that in keeping her safe he would turn into the exact thing that took her family from her.
Amira knows that Damien isn’t the monster he tries to tell her he is, she knows he feels the pull between them, but won’t admit that there is something between them and she can’t work out why. She knows she loves him, she’s in love with him but he keeps pushing her away.
Damien knows the only way to protect Amira is to push her away, keep her out of his life and let both of them move on. They can never happen she’s his weakness and he can’t let his enemies know that he has a weakness they can use against him.
Damien never said he was the Prince Charming, he’s more life the wolf and you see why with the ending, but can he redeem himself in the next book.

M. Robinson does it again. She grabs you from the first word, putting your heart in a vice as she takes you on a journey that will push all the boundaries. Damien, oh Damien. The world he was raised in and what he believed is shattered in one night. Suddenly, he sees his father in a completely different light and is pushed into an unbelievably difficult situation. This one-night shapes his future, forcing him to be a killer but there is a light in his world. He did one thing right, he saved Amira, a 9-year-old girl that loses everything in that one moment. Will her light be enough to keep him from total darkness? Or will he become the evil that he loathed? El Santo delivers all the angst, drama and heartache, can there be redemption? I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

El Santo Will Ruin You ❤️

I never think I’m going to like s character as much as the previous one but then the author writes a book that pulls me in from the start and doesn’t let go.

We got a glimpse of Damien at the end of Ends Here and this was his story. We got to meet a young idealistic Damien who lived through horrific and brutal events that shaped his thinking and El Santo was born.

The author has become known as The Queen of Angst and this story cements that reputation further. Emotional doesn’t begin to describe how i felt whilst reading, my mood swung between anxious angry scared happy.

The story had everything I wanted and have come to love about the authors books, her writing just gets better and better.

Intense powerful captivating need I say more!! The queen of angst did it again!! I'm not sure how she does it but she truly gives me everything I could possibly want in a book!! I get sucked in and can't put it down!! The characters, the plot, the twist and turns, the angst just everything is perfect!! My mind is always thrown from her tail spins!! Literally Had a love hate relationship with the sinner and the saint!! Swoon!! I'm definitely in book hangover right now!! Can't even give the words to truly say how much I LOVED this book!! What did I just go through!! I have been waiting for this book for awhile and it DEFINITELY didn't disappoint!! If you the love the good ol boys and el Diablo this book is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!

I feel like I've been waiting for this book forever, unfortunately it wasn't anything near what I was expecting or like anything I would normally read. I have read all of M's books and loved them but I'm not a fan of this new direction.

This is Damien story of his younger years in Cuba. There is alot of back story I guess it explains why he is who he is but the angst, chemistry and tension were missing.

This was hard to write as I love M's books but I did agree to an honest review.

Damien is just wow!!!

With an I only reading this book now. It is so good Damien had me all over the place I luvd him one min then hated him the next. Which just made me luv him. Ye I m confused with my feelings for him to. He goes through so many emotions in this book. Even when he is being horrible he is actually doin something good. I feel so sorry for him he can't have the girls he luvd cause he needs to protect her. But the bond him and Amira have is just to strong. He has been there for her when she didn't have anything left. Ye she could of blamed him for everything. But she saw who Damien really was. Ye there were a lot of sides to him and she could deal with them he just would let her in. He needed to protect from the monsters and his self. My heart broke for Amira throughout this whole book. Her life was turned upside down and the only person she could trust was Damien. But all he kept doin was hurting her. Her luv was so strong him she couldn't stay away from him even when he totally broke her heart.

This story was so good. I was hooked from the start and after that ending I need the next book now. Damien and Amira's story is far from perfect, It's actually a mess. But when a bond is so strong like theres is it takes a lot to break. Even though Damien did do a pretty good job at breaking Amira. I luv her character. She is strong sweet sassy and just luvs so hard considering what she went through. Damien was her everything and he well be.

I would highly recommend this book. I m really looking forward to reading more of this author. This is only the second book I 've read from her but I know it won't be the last one. This was intense heart breaking hot and forbidden love.

WOW!! El Santo has left me speechless. From page one I was torn between loving Damien and hating him. At certain parts I wanted to smack him upside the head and at others simply wanting to comfort him. Monica Robinson I will always wonder what goes on in your head and wishing I could live in there too. Kudoos lady for an amazing story and characters that you can't help but love.

Damn..MR isn’t the queen of angst for any old reason, Christ she’s just dragged me to the edge of sanity with stunning read. My head & heart are battered, bruised & broken, with little to zero chance of ever forgetting Damien & Amira.

Their story was so sad, with some harrowing circumstances that not only brought them together, but kept their souls connected on a higher level for the years that followed. It was a journey filled with love & anger, hurt & healing, sadness & happiness, for where Damien was the darkness in the depths of hell, Amira was the purest of light, an angel sent from heaven.

The early chapters gripped me hard, honestly I don’t think I was aware that I could even hold my breath that long. They were hard hitting, gut wrenching & ugly. My heart tore at its seams for Damien, giving me a new found appreciation & a massive hero worthy level of respect for this dark & dangerous killer. He was a victim to circumstance that changed him forever, a man raised for death & destruction. He never had a choice other than to obey. But even then that wasn’t enough.

But Amira IS his light & she is without doubt one of my favourite MR heroines. For even with the hand she was dealt in life, the monsters that changed her world, she still radiated light, love & innocence. I loved how she loved Damian, how she refused to give up, always hoping, always giving. Her spirit shone like brightest star in night sky, I defy anyone not to love this girl.

One of my fav scenes is near the beginning. It showed so beautifully how their hearts & souls called to each other. How instant trust, hope & protection was formed & was cemented between them. How a monster opened his heart to love an angel. How hand in hand this gorgeous man & this brave little girl understood just how much they needed each other to keep moving forward. Not knowing what tomorrow would bring. Gah I couldn’t stop the leaky eyes from this point onwards but nor did I care.

I’m not even going to mention the ending, except to say it was perfect & exactly how it was meant to be.

Queen of Angst wrote another book that you can not put down. I fell in love with Damien right at the beginning, and Amira is so young and so strong for someone that have lost everything in one night. There chemistry is so powerful that you can not wait to see what will happen.

The ending was not what you expect, but Monica have here reasons and you will love you nevertheless.
